INTRODUCTION F5J electro glider 2860mm starter model Flight review

Ойын-сауық

The model:
Libelle Competition - Libelle Evo - Libelle Supreme - Libelle A 380 ... The INTRODUCTION F5J, our first model for the still young competition class F5J, has inherited excellent genes! Of course it is a plane for all kind of pilots: for those, who love long flights in the thermals as well as for those, who love to have relaxing flights, for the "come-without-charger-to-the-model-flying-site"-pilots as well as for the "I-won't-charge-between-the-flights"-pilots. Inspired by our world-famous Libelle A380, we created our new Introduction F5J by resolving the one and only serious problem the A 380 had: No airbrakes to escape thermal lifts.
As usual we used stable tubular carbon spars, precisely lasercut wood parts, a very simple construction (Hoellein-3D-puzzle), easy and forgiving take off-, flight- and landing characteristics, large speed range due to the modified AG35 section, ecxellent handling and thermal characteristics. Easy purchase of single spare parts and assemblies. Made in Germany!
New: 2860mm wingspan, 920g flying weight, three-part wing with multiple dihedral and attached wingtips, lightweight rudder and elevator constructed in a solid interlocking framework, removable elevator (optional) mounted in front of the rudder, 90° deflectable landing flaps enabling you flying vertical descents, integrated wing connectors in the main spar, innovative (tool- and tape-free) fixation of the outer wings. Vertical descents with deflected landing flaps (90°) and landings avoiding the vortex zone on steep slopes are now possible without any problems.
The recommended drive - containing the BL-outrunner Hacker A20-22L Evo, a 3-cell LiPo with a capacity of 1300mAh and the CamCarbon 11x6 prop - allows a many many climbs to thermal country. Due to the light weight, a motor run time of 5 to 10 seconds per climb is sufficient.

There is nothing quite like laying in the grass on a hot summer day, hunting and catching thermals and flying for an hour without touching the throttle. You should try it,its very relaxing.

@@krist370 I lost a small glider last summer. I wasn't flying FPV, but it got caught in what they call a "hat sucker" thermal. It took my glider, and I never saw it again. I was flying way too high for the size of the small glider, and it just vanished. Some of the more veteran glider pilots have told me on forums that if you can't see the elevator your too high :)

Love flying gliders for a little relaxation. Have the Radian NT 2.0 and Radian XL 2.6. Would really enjoy building a kit one day or putting together a nicer ARF.
