I love this chair, but have yet to figure out how to get my iPhone to connect to it. So I can listen to music they chair speakers. Yes my blue tooth is one but does not find chair. Please help!!! Even tried plugging into cord still nothing and does not charge my phone either.

I am in the market and comparing the Super Novo and the Daiwa Supreme Hybrid. Would love to know the pros and cons of both and out of the two which one would you choose?

The Hybrid has the new split track technology (one track for the back, another for the seat) instead of the traditional fixed L-track configuration of the Super Novo. The Hybrid has dual rollers on the upper track and 4 rollers on the bottom track. The Super Novo has one set of 4 rollers that run the entire length of the L-track. The Hybrid is a quieter chair than the Super Novo when in use. The Super Novo has a less intense roller massage than the Hybrid...and the Hybrid roller massage is one of the most intense! Because of the split track roller configuration, the Hybrid offers a full body extension stretch, as opposed to the traditional hip distraction stretch of the L-track chairs like the Super Novo. The Super Novo has an Alexa-enabled technology, whereas the Hybrid does not. The Super Novo also has some interesting programs for meditation and relaxation, which include nature sounds from the speakers. By the way, the Altec Lansing speakers of the Super Novo are unrivaled in the massage chair industry. Although both chairs can handle taller and bigger bodies, the Super Novo handles taller, longer bodies better than the Hybrid, especially with the leg section. The tablet display is much easier to read and follow in the Hybrid than in the Super Novo. It has larger touch screen images and text to follow. I have always been a fan of the Super Novo, but I would take the Hybrid because of the dual rollers of the upper track and the intensity of the rollers. I love deep tissue massage and that chair really shines in that regard. Truth be told, there are no such chairs as a 5D or 6D. It has 6 total rollers, but that doesn't mean that it is a 6D chair. The Hybrid is a 3D chair. Since it also has a speed adjustment, it can be considered a 4D chairs as well. dr. w.

I'm having issues attempting to connect Bluetooth so I can listen to a audiobook. How do you connect your phone? I don't see it when looking in Bluetooth.

So is this a common issue? And has anyone had this problem resolved. Or are there just speakers for no reason?

I'm loving this chair but I'm unsure about the intensity level. My local store has ohco m8 and HT super novo, both of which I really like. I've tried other chairs at airports or malls that were so intense it was painful. Does this have a setting to for intensity that would be similar to the oho or human touch?

Love the review Perhaps How wide of Shoulders can fit in that Chair? How many air bags for arms, and how does it compare to others?

@@massagechairrelief A polite suggestion, perhaps mention in new reviews of Massage chairs how wide the shoulder width it will accommodate. So someone doesn't buy one to small if they are a wide chested person. I have a friend who bought one years ago and he has to squeeze into his to fit his shoulders/arms. Love your reviews! Keep it up.

I hear the Heat pads are a bit weak, if so. Is it safe to use a separate heat pad on back, between back and rollers?

Of the L-track chairs, the Supreme Hybrid has a very strong neck and shoulder massage because of the 2 rollers. The Luraco iRobotics 7 Plus and the Panasonic MAJ7 have very strong neck and shoulder massages, as well. The Panasonic MAJ7 also is one of the very few massage chairs that have rollers that come up and over the shoulders to give you a partial trap massage. dr. w.

@@massagechairrelief Dr Alan... Stretch is a MUST for me. I am 5' 9" 225 Body builder and want the full MONTY to include GLUTE massage. If you had 2 to choose from $$$ not being a factor... What would be your choice? I am in SW Florida so I have to go by your experience which seems like the best way to approach this... Thanks

@@mrshayes09 I like the Supreme Hybrid for the L-track feature, which I am a big fan of. I also like the dual rollers of the top roller mechanism of the Supreme Hybrid. We have the Pegasus 2 in our showrooms. I am not familiar with the Legacy at all. The Pegasus 2 s a great option right now with the deep holiday discount. dr. w.

Do you know the space size needed for this? Both the total and the floor space? ie what is the space it will actually sit, so we know what mat size needed for hard wood, and fully reclined how far would it stick out from a wall? Thanks for all the info you always post very helpful.

Hi, Jordan. The upright dimensions of the Hybrid are Dim-Upright 49H x 34W x 67L. It is a wall hugger, therefore you can place it within an inch of your wall. You would need a 3'x4' mat to go under the chair base to protect your flooring. I hope this helps. dr. w.

@@jordanw8361 I've seen customers use rubber mats, small rugs, and foam pads. Incidentally, these chairs don't move around much on hard surfaces. Although they feel very active when you are sitting in them, they really don't move much at all. dr. w.

I've had my chair for 6 days. When I switch between Gentle, Soothing, and Vigorous (Force) I notice no differences. Do you notice any differences when you switch between the settings? I've tried most of the auto programs with the same results.

Great observation. We have dealt with this before. When we inquired about it with my contact at Daiwa, this is the response we received... "I was advised by our service department that they tested 2 hybrids side by side and found out the following: On Vigorous, 3D goes more intense more times during the program. On Gentle, 3D goes on the least times during the program. On Soothe, it is between the Gentle and Vigorous. So, I sat on the chair and tested what they told me and it seems to be true. I set the chair on 10 minute program settings and then ran the royal treatment program on the soothe and vigorous settings. I noticed that on the vigorous settings, the force increase to five lights more often than it did when I was using the soothe setting. Overall, it did feel less intense in the soothe setting than it did in the vigorous setting." We found this to be correct. I hope this helps! dr. w.

@@massagechairrelief LOL I did the same as you (used the refresh program) and videoed the display for each Force level, then compared them. Found the Vigorous (+30) hit level 5 3d, around +7 times more than Gentle(x22). I sent all my videos and data to Daiwa tech support, per their request, about an hour ago. Force term is misleading, Gentle should never hit a level 5, possibly an occasional 3. Those with compromised backs would benefit from a Gentle (3d Off), Soothing(0-3) and Vigorous (0-5). That's what I assumed the force setting was for. I believe they are hurting themselves by not catering a little to the compromised back community. Thank you for quick response.

Updated: received reply from: Daiwa Daiwa 4d Supreme Hybrid Daiwa's FORCE Option they display, but don't say much about in their manual FORCE: an influence (as a push or pull) that tends to produce a change in the speed or direction of motion of something By the above definition I fully expected Gentle to be 3d turned off, Soothing, varying from 0-3, and Vigorous from 0-5. That would make sense. REALITY: My interpretation of Daiwa's definition of FORCE is the number of times a 3d level 5 intensity occurs from start to finish of an auto program. EXAMPLE: Using the "Refresh" Auto Program for 10 minutes, aided by self produced videos, Gentle Force, Level 5 occurred 22 times. On Vigorous, level 5 occurred around 30 times. BOTTOM LINE:: There will NOT be a noticeable difference from a FORCE setting of Gentle, Soothing, or Vigorous. That is basically what Daiwa's response was to me when I questioned and sent them videos of all the modes under the same conditions. I thought the chair wasn't working correctly. Healthy back, no issues, this is a GREAT chair. From a standing position, if you are able to bend backwards between 30 and 45 degrees without pain or discomfort, most likely you will be good with this chair, otherwise, don't buy the chair. Try a Luraco I7 or I7 Plus (I Own). NOT the Luraco I9 (I've tried), similar bending/arching issues. My wife has lower back issues -- degenerative disc. We made the mistake of assuming FORCE was a 3d intensity level. In that mind set we thought she would be able to use the chair on the Gentle setting and I could still get my desired deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, not the case, RE-EMPHASIZING; Gentle reaches level 5 multiple times. Very painful for her. She can only use the manual mode "Point" and "Partial" massage with the 3d level OFF for lower back, plus "Neck and Shoulder", "Sweet Dreams" and "Refreshing Nap". Depending on massage location she can get up to a level 2 and with the traps and neck a 5. Using manual mode for her is a real hassle due to multiple changes required to massage her back. That's why the I7 is a much better choice for her. 3d levels are programmable by sections - Low back, mid back, neck, plus you can store all settings in one memory for fast and easy recall. I have no back issues and love the chair. The back pads allow you to manually manipulate how intense you want the roller pressure points. With No pads, intense roller pressure points, 1 pad, pressure points a little less intense. .....ect. NOT USING ANY PADS: If you are 5'7" or shorter, you can use a "Car Front Seat Cover Half Surround PU Leather Pad Mat" (around $11 ebay) for neck and head support. You can also use the included 6 section pad if you want to bring your head a little more forward, beyond that of using the seat cover. Place the edge of the pad around your mid neck area. LOWER Rollers: In this area use two or more 7x9 Pot holders to ease the byte of the rollers. BODY SCAN Adjustment:: No info in the manual on this The chair has a manual adjustment option which shows up right after the initial Body Scan. Up and down arrows appear. At this point you can adjust the baseline roller position by tapping the arrows. You will notice each time the arrow is tapped, a 7 second timer appears. You have 7 seconds to decide if the rollers are in the correct position for you, if not, keep hitting the arrows until you are satisfied. Let the timer elapse, and the massage begins. TIMER TRICK: If you are at the end of a massage and you want to continue the massage without the chair resetting: Before the massage time expires, simply select another massage, then select the massage you desire, The timer will reset. OR you can open "Adjustments", select a different time then select your desired time. This also resets the timer to the desired time.. As far as I can tell you can do this as many times as you want. ZERO GRAVITY: Most auto programs do not use "Zero Gravity" for their standard massaging position. If you would like to use "Zero Gravity" as a massage position for an auto program, open "Adjustments" and select a "Zero Gravity" position. The chair will change and stay in that position until the conclusion of the auto program. This works on most of the auto programs. SHORT People: My wife is 5'3" this is the only chair we found that fits her. Example: She can feel the foot rollers on the Daiwa (the whole ottoman slides up), on the I7, she can barely feel the rollers. Fit was a big factor for the Daiwa purchase. She tried multiple chairs but none fit her correctly, there was always something not right. The above information was learned after we received the chair. Not enough time in the showroom to recognize the FORCE issue. On a personal note: SCIATICA: The last couple of days I've been cleaning my tile and grout, a great deal of bending in positions I'm not used to. As a result my sciatica started acting badly, to the point of making it difficult to even sit comfortably. I did a 30 min round of the Hybriflex program and the sciatica problem went away. I was hoping it would help, never dreamed it would go away completely. It worked for me, hopefully, it will work for others with an irritated sciatic nerve as well. SAFETY - Proximity Sensors: I didn't see this in the manuals. The chair has proximity sensors located on each side of the chair. They are positioned in the divide section ( 2-3inch silver separator) between the upper and lower side chair sections. To test the sensors, place your hand on or near the separator section after initiating a massage. The chair will start dinging. Take your hand off, and it stops. Try this when the chair is changing positions, the chair will stop, then resume once you remove your hand. The Supreme is a hard chair to beat. I fall asleep in the Supreme easier than my i7 Plus. When I wake in the Supreme, I feel like I'm trying to wake from anesthesia. Most of the time(90%+), I start another massage and go back to sleep. The most 30 minutes programs in one night, 4, so far. I couldn't wake up enough to get out of it. 4/5 stars: FORCE is misleading You really only have 12 noticeably different auto programs not 36 as indicated on some youtube videos.
