I'm wearing the same combo right now. That strap saved my Willard from the chopping block, it's remarkable. I tried it on Isofrane, an Erica's fabric, and then back to the bracelet. Divecore nailed it with this strap.

Good commentary Jeff. I gotta say, I wholeheartedly agree with you on saying No to quick release spring bars. All of the ones I've tried were just slightly shorter in length compared to my regular spring bars to make me lose confidence in them. I am not trusting a $2k watch on it.

I'm with you on the straps advice to Divecore. A waffle strap with fat spring bars from them would be awesome!

I wear only Seiko and Citizen divers, so I also only use fat bars. I'm also not a fan of quick release and cheap, skinny spring bars. Right now, I only wear Uncle straps since they are molded to fit fat bars. I am interested in Divecore, so I will check them out.

Hey jeff, watchgecko sells skinnyfat spring bars for seiko divers with the thicker 1.1 mm tip. And 1.8 mm body to fit most aftermarket straps. They feel pretty premium.

Please make sure to offer shorter versions for smaller wrists, like the Uncle Straps GL831. I have a 6.5" wrist and can't stand when the end of the strap stick out, because it's too long. The GL831 short version fits great. I'm sure I'm not alone with this.

If you did and they were FKM. I’d order them! Also a request from a larger wrist guy, maybe consider a small and XL version to give customers a choice and everyone is happy 👍

Just so you all know Divecore states they made the strap for you to install your own FAT bars. The quick release they give are to be compatible with swiss divers.

@@JeffreyMcMahon I read it while on a break from work! Gave me a lot of insight into the watch collecting obsession. Was able to see parts that I certainly have as part of my time into the hobby/lifestyle. I know that I'm already Yearning for the Simple Life, despite only being into watches for the last few years. Watch Survivor was certainly worth the price and time commitment. Thanks for writing it!

Divecore had a model first called vortex . That wasn't that comfortable and was hard to put on and off but the HP is absolutely the best strap i have ever tried before. Its a huge difference between those two.

Have you already reflected on scratches on your watches? I can only avoid them if I don't wear my Watches, which makes the hobby useless. On the other hand, each scratch feels like a knife cut on your skin that stays visible forever unless you do cosmetic surgery. What is your opinion on this?
