I’ve been doing photography for almost 15 years. Last year hasn’t been a real good year for me I lost my father and I used to work at an old photography museum and teach Film photography. My old boss kept asking more and more and more he was getting harder as an example he went from an hour to teaching the dark room to 20 minutes teaching the dark room which as we all know is not really possible his idea was to have more students that come every day at the “cost of quality . Since last July I stopped cold turkey doing photography without ever wanting to do it again it’s been many many months and I’m actually happy to start again sadly I got rid of 95% of my photography gear including cameras and whilst it’s a sad thing I decided I wanted to restart fresh and new and my camera of choice is the Ricoh GR three I really really love the camera I have three baby boys which I’ll have to photograph them as they grow up and with the GR three it’s an amazing camera. Easy to bring anywhere I go either my pocket or in my what we call man purse fast responsive and when you tweak the JPEG‘s you have a film look which I really love and I’m a big monochrome lover. There is a big chance that later this year because I just purchased recently the GR3 I’ll purchase the GR3X with the Tele converter . The GR3X with the Tele converter is very useful for the portrait sign especially if you use digital crop which actually like myself and it’s actually useful when wanting to do macros. With all that said I’m really happy to use Ricoh cameras now I’m not sure I would have restarted to do some photography if I didn’t use a ricoh camera. The only complaint I have though and it’s not Rico‘s fault because I used Amazon to purchase my GR3 street edition I thought when you purchased the street edition it came with the viewfinder sadly it was not the case. Directly on the website if I’m not mistaken you can buy the street edition with viewfinder as a combo.

I like that Ricoh do this. Stand out special edition versions are very nice. Maybe the next one will have a flip-up screen for waist level shooting?

The lens is fixed, so the camera comes with it, if that is what you mean.

no unnecessary optical viewfinder attached?

No viewfinder is included with this model. Depending on your preference this is available separately and can be found through the link in the description.

Yes that's correct. It is in the philosophy of GR to keep evolving through firmware updates. These updates will be available for both GR III and GR IIIx models.
