HbA1c is a glycated protein in which glucose is attached to the N-terminal of the β-chain of hemoglobin, which is widely used as an indicator of blood glucose levels in diabetes testing.
Hzymes Biotech HbA1c Enzymatic Assay Method Reagent adopts a dual-channel testing method for HbA1c measurement.
Step 1: Protease is used to calculate the concentration of Hb by cutting off the glycated dipeptide derived from β-chain N-terminal of hemoglobin.
Step 2: FPOX, as one of the most important innovations of Hzymes Biotech, can specifically work on the glycated dipeptide derived from the β-chain N-terminal of hemoglobin. Because of this, it can effectively reduce the interference of labile HbA1c. Via trinder’s reaction, FPOX can measure the absorbance to calculate the concentration of HbA1c.
Step 3: With the result of the concentration of HbA1c and Hb, we can calculate HbA1c using a proportional form with high accuracy.
