Great project, Ray! Very neatly implemented.
Awesome video! Thanks Ray!
Nice work Ray!
my respect to you sir. you were able to figure out OTA. my esp is in a crash fest.
Nice job. The functions and the webUI reminds me on EspEasy system. It would be nice to build a binding to OpenHAB.
Hi Ray. Great solution. Any thoughts on implementing MQTT communication options for easy integration into home automation systems like Home Assistant?

yes, already included in the recent opengarage firmware.
Wow ! Just what I was looking for. As a newbie I assume this will work with Arduino. Correct ?

It has a built-in ESP8266 wifi chip which is compatible with Arduino (i.e. you can program it using the Arduino IDE)
Can you run more than on OG on they Blynk app or is it limited to one? IE. What if I have two garage doors I want to connect this to? (Really cool product, btw).

Yes you can. You can duplicate the Blynk project as many times as you want. Each instance has its own unique authorization token, and you can give each a different name to tell them apart.

To clarify: I mean duplicate project inside the same Blynk app of course.
Great product maybe beyond the cape abilities of most Arduino project users.
Will it work with openhab?

Not entirely sure. You may want to search on openhab to see if someone has written a plugin for openhab

Should be able to do it with MQTT: opengarage.io/forums/topic/mqtt-and-og/
Does this product work with Android devices ??

Yup, it works with all mobile platforms (the app is cross platform and the built-in webpage is a web app so as long as you have a browser it works).

Not only does it work on mobile applications now, but you can use https webhook to actuate the relay, and read/write virtual pins. I just built this myself (if the content creator takes donations, please contact me. You saved me lots of money by not purchasing the myIQ from Chamberlain).
Very nice video. At this time, you can buy a MyQ for most garage openers for only $70 so I am not sure if it is worth doing.

Cost is one thing, and software features are another. OpenGarage has a rich set of software features including several types of automation, and it supports MQTT.

@Fred:. As with many many things electronic.... it's the journey. The joy comes with: I built it myself; I learned a lot; I can build on what I learnt then for my next project..... One can buy complex electronics goods out of China for next to nothing, but to build a radio or an amplifier yourself from those beautiful little individual parts is like magic!
