In the new season of The Atlantic’s popular "How To" series, co-hosts Megan Garber and Andrea Valdez explore deepfakes, illusions, and misinformation, and how to make sense of where things are really happening. Epistemology is important to study so that when The Atlantic writes on US foreign policy you understand it's Imperialist.

@helloInternets thanks to you, I learned that The Atlantic is owned by Steve Jobs' widow. Do any of us want someone who found his behavior acceptable telling us what's real?

@@NeighborhoodOfBlue Lots of legacy media outlets have been putting out pieces about combatting misinformation, but those outlets or many members of their staff contributed to the sabre rattling around the US invasion of Iraq & Afghanistan, ongoing US vassal genocide in Gaza, and cultivating sinophobia against China for future war mongering. Liberalism domestically while maintaining US hegemony abroad is no longer palatable to a younger audience that absorbs global media sources.

B.S. The Atlantic is one of the most distinguished, excellent magazines in the nation, indeed in the world. It's essential reading for anyone not caught up in ideological clap-trap.
