It detects parts that failed to remove and that will pause it's operation. Form 3 already has a built in ability to check the build platform for small debris that can fail a print. Form Auto also has a camera that will enable future remote monitoring and failure detection capabilities.

  • @Formlabs

Form Auto will squeeze the Build Platform 2 multiple times. Then, Build Platform 2 will be scraped along the edge of the enclosure to remove any additional parts. There’s also a sensor that will alert you if there’s a part that didn’t come off and will pause if there’s an issue. We have multiple stages of checks to make sure the automation is working correctly and starting the next print is no issue.

That is a very cool and intelligent design. But you really shouldn’t say “so that anyone can make anything “ not unless you’re selling them cheap enough that I can afford one. I just bought a Creality Ender 3 v2 used for $100. And that took a good chunk out of my wallet. I can’t imagine the cost for one of those printers.😢

It doesn't make any sense, where is the washing and cleaning area ? So you are telling me that the parts are produced clean with no resin ?

so you are using a regular flexible stainless steel base which you bend to pop off the prints and you call it the "patented technology" OK. modern technologies are so modern and technological.

😂its automated but you will be repairing it all the time trust me. Formlabs I will not stop telling the world how you fleeced so many of of your core believers with expensive machines that don't work and destroy dreams. You are never to big to fall when you let a $600 Saturn S outperform your $3000+ machine. I'm sure others will chime in.

And when are you finally making it possible to label / name printers individually ? The dumb animals names will suck even more at scale production !!!! We need simple customization / numbering / labeling of printers. Not your hip and too cool animals names.

This is honestly one of the most toxic 3d printing companys in the industry. Had a Form 2 and realized quickly. Stay away and thank me later!

had worse possible experience with one of these printers. resin costs 10x more than ordinary ones, the printer itself costs 15x more than an elegoo. so the hint is: RUN
