I enjoy trying out alternative art supplies. But, yes, every material has its own set of quirks. Have fun!
Love it! Now I want to try printing some papers to collage into my paintings. It looks like great fun. Thanks for making this video & for giving the materials you use.

This is awesome! Might have to try this. I've done monoprints with thin disposable plastics, but silicone looks fun!

I've also tried Styrofoam trays and aluminum foil. Plexiglass was a total fail for me.
What brand paper do you use?

I used only cardstock in this video and don't have a particular brand I favor but I do like heavier. I'll have to add that to my list.

@@melindavanry I tried different types and brands but it keeps ripping when I have multiple dry layers. So I'm doing something wrong haha!

@@kohiko_art I have found that the lighter cardstock does not work as well. It tends to stick more. I haven't yet tried other types of paper on the silicone mat, as it is way more finicky than the gel plate.

@@melindavanry I have the most success with a smooth and bit thicker copy paper so far, I keep experimenting! Thanks for your reply.
I love my silicone mat and the prints I get! But there is not much onformation about the process

I haven't actively searched for people using them on KZread, but none have come up suggested for me. I do plan after the 100 days of collage paper to make more focused and detailed videos on various processes when each video doesn't have to contain seven projects. I'm glad you enjoy using your silicone mat.

@@melindavanry That would be great, I’m learning to use it by myself and I think it really is a good alternative! Especially as a real big one is so much less expensive!
