But what exactly are magnetic fields, I mean that we know that the stuff around us are made of atoms so we know what exactly are they, we exactly know what sound is, so upto that extent and in that sense, what exactly are fields?

I understand you brother. I was in the same shoes. Actually field is nothing but the domain where you can feel the effect of "force". Although this 'field' can be said to extend till infinity as force will inevitably be there although its very very weak ( infinitely weak ).

@@soumil8988 Here's a video explaining fields(in physics) if you're interested kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKydmsqAlczJc7A.html by Science Asylum (which is an excellent channel check it out) Also this lecture is about a similar topic but is pretty long. Yet I can't recommend it enough I have watched it over 3 times till now trust me it's brilliant kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIKKs8iQc8LLpso.html

Is force of attraction or repulsion really a magnetic force considering the fact that it is not perpendicular to the field

Im confused. I thought photons are the force-carrying particles for the electromagnetic field. Wouldn't that mean that photons are the particles that make up the magnetic field?
