INTO THE STORM | FREE RANGE BISON WITH A BOW
2022 Late season Archery Bison hunt on Utahs Henry Mountains. 7 Days in the crazy weather we grinded out one of the hardest hunts I have ever done. Hope you enjoy the journey we embarked on.

Thank you so much for having us be apart of this hunt. Your determination was second to none. It never once felt let we were guiding a client. More like we were hunting with our friends. Memories were created, respect for the mountain, the animals, and each other grew stronger. Looking forward to more hunts in the future together! Cheers 😉 🍻

@@HaxenHunt they sometimes share grazing areas with domestic cattle . You shoulda done an old fashioned cow moo on the first shot to give yourself a handful of steps to get closer. He still mighta spooked. But he mighta waited a second to see what was around.
Man, first off, huge congratulations! Second, the production quality and hunt film quality were literally amazing! Hands down, the best thing I’ve seen come from you! Great job!

Awesome video dude!!!
I've always dreamt of hunting Bison with a bow, but we aren't allowed here in Canada (must be rifle). So I don't know which was more amazing to watch .. your hunt itself or watching the emotions you expressed when you found her (can't imagine the feelings you had)! Tough choice, loved them both. Thanks for sharing, Rob.
Right on man. Way to stick with it! Awesome experience and the footage was great. Didn’t know those things would get down in a narrow ditch like that.

Congrats on the bison but I think you jinxed yourself bragging about arrow set up.
Running with scissors in the house or rough mountainous terrain with an arrow on the string, are both very, very bad ideas......
Glad you found her, maybe look at throwing some heavier weight next time 🤷♂️

Arrow weight wasn’t the issue. The shot was too high. Buffaloes vitals sit very low. Lower than most people realize.

Full pass through with the weight I had, weight wasn’t an issue, it was my shot placement. I hit too high…

@HaxenHunt that's precisely my point. People tend to shy away from vitals on quartered to shots particularly due to lack of weight/penetration ability. Great job on the hunt and your due diligence what a memory 👍
@HaxenHunt

Appreciate it! It wasn’t because I was aiming further back haha I’ll be honest, I for sure rushed the shot and didn’t take them time needed to. I’d feel comfortable taking any shot with that arrow weight with no concern of penetration. It blew through ribs on both sides and those were some massive ribs😅 508 total arrow weight I believe would be plenty to accomplish any game with my setup. Appreciate your support on the video! It was no doubt a memory for many lifetimes
is he crying??
@HaxenHunt

No… he’s bawling 😂
What a man! Did you enjoy your dinner while the buffalo was out there suffering? Maybe you shouldn't brag about the broadhead when you seem to make poor shots.

😂 clearly you’ve lost the connection of respect from human to animal. I don’t play Mr. Tough guy when I accomplish a life long dream and have the utmost respect for these animals! One day you should try it😘
just think if you had that 72% or a heavier arrow it wouldnt have got stuck on those vanes thanks for proving heavy arrows seem to work better lol awesome hunt man congrats thanks for sharing...

😂😂 if you need that extra 1/2” of penetration than youre doing it wrong 😜 thanks so much man for your support!!
