“We are able to perceive multiple realities at once.” YES! YES YES YES! That’s me ALLLL THE TIME! As an INFJ, it’s so FREAKING hard to communicate at face value with most of the world 🤦🏻‍♀️ (sensors). They are so direct and you can tell that they think of one thing only whenever they talk. I have to FORCE myself to be one-dimensional in my communication with them. It feels so unnatural and almost like I internally cringe every time! The more concrete the description, the more I internally suffer lol! That’s why I always feel like people don’t know the real me most of the time and struggle to be felt understood. Being an Ni dom is so freaking weird, but it’s a fantastical mess. It’s like you can think of so many things at the same time that all make sense in the weirdest interconnected ways. I don’t even know how to explain it. Most of the time, I’m not staring at anything in particular; I just perceive the world in an abstract sense-I think of it in colors, feelings, “vibes”, music, symbols, archetypes, tropes . . . I will always be drawn to look beneath the surface and tie everything together. The world is a big mystery and it is MY mysterious oyster! With my INTJ, communication is SO freaking effortless! That’s one of the things I absolutely FREAKING love about him. He’s the best and he just gets me. We can be our cursed, natural forms, without having to dumb ourselves down or excessively explain anything. Long live the Ni doms!

Thank you for your comment, Nicole. I’m an INTJ female who’s always adored INFJs but was afraid they’d never like me due to my poor Fe skills (and an INFJ broke my heart when I was 19 - I’m a lesbian and she is bisexual and went back with her ex boyfriend after 2 years off and on, stringing me along). But I am 55 and still would love to be with an INFJ. I just love our conversations and think we can get each other better than anyone else. ❤ And I’m affectionate and love to let people know how much I love them (through my words and physical touch) which is important to feelers. I used to wonder if I’m a feeler but actually I think I’m just a “jumper” in the OP system, so more in touch with my feelings than most INTJs. It probably helps that I’m female and have the cultural support for that. I’ve had two long-term relationships (8 and 12 years) with INFPs; and, although I adore them, I always feel they don’t appreciate my strengths or craving for music and aesthetics (mainly my Te or Se). And they don’t care about my Ni master plan, beyond just being surface supportive but not really getting it, which hurts. I feel encouraged that it’s possible after seeing yours and a few other similar comments, for an INFJ-INTJ pairing to work.

One of the most stand out things to me as an infj is when an intj just bluntly calls me out and says something along the lines of “then don’t go” “ if you don’t want to then don’t. you don’t have to have a reason just say you aren’t going” no personality type ever puts it to me so blatantly. most empathise with me which makes it worse because then it validates my Fe worries that i’m going to disappoint people. but intjs cut out my Fe so strongly in those moments it sort of jolts me. and i feel brave enough to push for my own wants more. something i really appreciate about intjs that is hard to put into words.

My best friend is my younger sibling who happened to be an INFJ. And MBTI just made us closer. As the older sibling (INTJ), I find fulfillment in helping her out when indecisiveness gets to her (blindspot Te). Funny story: my father asked me the other day if I contact my sister (she's studying from afar), and I said, "No." He was surprised because we are almost inseparable when she's at home, but apparently, we dont message each other unless we need something. We are like telepaths to each other. We never needed to elaborate our thoughts and we get the signal when one needs their own space. We also feel safe sharing our thoughts to each other because we know the other is listening without prejudice.

WOW, this sounds like me and my little sister. I’m an INTJ and she’s INFJ. She gives the BEST perspective, most thoughtful gifts, and I value her opinion almost above all else, but we also don’t message each other unless we have an express purpose. Although lately, in my sentimental old age of 31, I have been making more efforts to have phone call dates while she is on the other side of the world. By temperament, I probably get along better on a day to day sense with my little INFP brother because he is just such a sweet and gentle soul, while me and my sister tend to be a bit more edgy/ornery, but I love them both equally and appreciate both of their rare and precious traits. It is so funny tho, when i talk to her that’s when I become INTENSELY aware of my lack of Fe 😂 she has set me straight many times calling me out for my inconsiderate and Fe-blind nature especially in dating situations (and I’d say I’m a pretty feelings-focused and considerate INTJ when i compare to your typical INTJ in the wild)

@@justcallmejon22 that’s honestly such a good question! I’ve thought about our dynamic often because in a lot of ways I feel like the younger sibling when it comes to the realm of feelings but when it comes to hard-nosed practical/ logical stuff I am very much in the role of the older sibling. I always thought our personalities are accounted for by our genetics and then are further developed by experiences and in my case especially the polarity in our family and relational dynamics. E.g., my Te intensity and lack of Fe probably set some examples for her of how not to act in her own life, and her lack of Te probably galvanized my existing Te tendencies.

One of my best friends since childhood was an INTJ and I am an INFJ. We were really close for many years, rarely having any conflict or problems and I always appreciated his brilliant mind and the ability to discuss abstract things and concepts with him for hours on end. The kind of discussions you don't seem to be able to have with anyone else even though you try. He could be a little cold and aloof sometimes but we got along well with each other. He was one of my best friends and someone I really enjoyed spending time around. He committed suicide a few years back after having his business fail and getting into opiod drugs due to surgery for back problems. We also had a falling out over money he borrowed and didn't repay before he died so we weren't on speaking terms for the first and only time in our entire history when he died. I miss him despite how things were at the end and I have a ton of great memories that I often reflect on. I think these two personality types are very complimentary and make a great combination for relationships of all kinds. 🤙

My condolences hearing about your INTJ. Mental health (which I group addiction into the same category) is something that I think the world needs to pay closer attention to. Although your relationship soured during the finale, I'm glad to hear that his memory brings more positive memories than negative ones. I'm sure he felt the same about you as well even if he's never been vocal about it ❤

@@justcallmejon22 Thanks! Yes, he needed help from mental health professionals but unfortunately he wasn't willing to try any of the things they recommended or prescribed when he did get to see someone. I think a lot of that is the stigma that surrounded mental health for so many years and that still does to some extent. It was tough to watch. You cannot make someone help themselves and that was why I had to remove myself from the situation at the end. I just know that my friend wasn't the person he was at the end. That was due to addiction, desperation, depression, a lifetime of disappointment, feeling he failed in the great game of life, and other associated problems. I just prefer to remember him when he was how he was for many years. The stuff at the end was like trying to rescue a desperate drowning man. The end was something of a mercy for him unfortunately. Now he is no longer hurting like that so I find solace in that.

Being an infj who was in a relationship with an intj, I can say this is the best breakdown I’ve ever heard on this MBTI combination. You got everything right. The dynamics of the relationship, the comrade, the depth of conversation, the meeting of two misunderstood minds who come together and feel so comfortable and complete with each other and feeling like they can take on the world together and just be themselves. And when that happens, the physical relationship is through the roof. Being with my intj was the most refreshing thing I’ve ever felt. I felt like I was home. And at 13 minutes, wow that spoke to me. It's so hard for me to explain to people how my brain works, and how I still care for them. As an INFJ I too absolutely love you INTJs and appreciate all that you guys do, even though most people will never know, understand, nor even see it. I am glad to have gotten to know a few INTJs and yes, we are very similar yet very different at the same time. Although both the similarities and differences seem to work perfectly between us. It is rare for anyone to see me at the depth that I reside but you INTJs can reach that depth for you yourselves reside there as well. It is funny, it only happened after I became comfortable with not being seen, not being noticed, and not being understood that I found people that saw me, noticed me, and understood me, seems all IN types can do that. It took me to meet an INTJ online to actually finally feel like there is someone I can truly open up to and feel heard and seen like i do for everyone else. We INFJs are the more feeling versions of you INTJs and you INTJs are the more logical version of us INFJs in a way. I have an INTJ mother and an ENFJ father and sister. The only reason why I don't fully open up to them is they are family and I don't want them to worry about me. I have been finally learning about what I want and need in my life and I understand how you need to Fi into your Fe because I need to Ti into my Te and kinda mix it to use my Te. I can also do the same with my Fe into my Fi. Funny how we need our main functions to transition us into our shadow functions, huh. I feel every INFJ needs an INTJ in their life, you guys just need to watch out for when we go into our extroverted mode, which at least only lasts a few hours, you know, the whole extroverted introvert thing. But at least it will be a few hours of deep conversation and barely any to no small talk. It is always good to have our Ni brethren to understand our struggles.

Thank you for the insight on how INFJs use Ti to Te and Fe to Fi. I had an idea that you guys did that as well but never had it confirmed. Trust me when I say that I understand what you meant when you said you don't want to discuss too much with your family because you don't want to worry them. My ISFJ siblings complain about me not opening up all the time and it's basically that. I'm glad you found your INTJ and I'm sure your INTJ is glad that they found their INFJ. Please take care of them and feel free to utilize their Te power as much as you need it, they'll enjoy it more than you'll ever understand 😁

@@justcallmejon22 It is difficult still to use my Te since it being my blind spot, that is why I mix it into my Ti, still not too well yet. However, combining my Ti with an INTJ's Te would be a bit easier. My Fi is still a bit limited but I can use it when I need it. It takes a while for me to know my own feelings on things, but it is possible at least. For my Ne, all I need is an Ne user around and it is used to help me keep up then organize it with my Ni. Si though, not sure if I will get the hang of that one, I still need to improve my Se yet. And yes, we are both glad we found each other and I know I feel I am truly talking to my equal. And I don't mean to sound condescending nor narcissistic, we just have much to learn from each other. By watching each other, perhaps we can both improve much of our own weaker areas from each other's stronger areas.

@@nickolaszissimos1189 I know. I think the genuine Fe is what I've been looking for in a relationship. While Tj's certainly feel, expressing it outward is difficult. Mostly because we just don't think about it or assume others can see it, which isn't always the case. Challenging ourselves and others comes very naturally which helps work the Fi, although we can get a bit overzealous and become jerks about it. Having a relationship with someone who can meet our IN and helps us challenge or even see our own Fe is immensely rewarding.

I really like seeing my thoughts come to some semblance of ... Help me out INTJ lol. I have'nt know G for long, but I have picked up so many things. What you're saying about abstract thinking and no one understanding you. Oh that hit home. My ex used to get so very angry with me bc I often disassociate and shut down with him and spoke in such abstract thinking that his narcissistic personality just went crazy. I literally feel less depressed when I listen to you and I just now realized, it is because you hear me and G hears me. Bloody hell, I need a cupa tea. I did not go to school to become a counselor because I had worked all my life in medical. I knew what you had to do to get a psychologist's degree. And I rebelled and refused bc it makes no sense. Do you look back on your childhood and see your INTJ in you? I've been doing that lately and it's crazy. Thank you for making this video and all your videos. I so appreciate your hard work. One last question. I don't have a problem at all with my man not being all lovey dovey (yuck). You say INTJ show little emotion and that is true. For me, it just makes you more perfect. I don't feel pressured. Is that typical of INFJ?

I'm not sure if it's typical of INFJs but I'm also aware that you guys tend to be pretty patient in waiting for an acknowledgment (that might never arrive). I don't think G will mind if you tell him that you need attention or emotional validation, I actually think he'd appreciate you being straightforward. Thanks again for the kind words and please take care of my INTJ family 🙏

That was an awesome video. A lot of it went over my head as I don't know much about Myers Briggs personality traits. I can speak to the last part of the video and say that I agree with you about the INFJ never feeling motivated or prepared. I find that I really have to push myself and tell myself I have to meet goals and get things done. It seems like a cruel world to an unhealthy INFJ as myself at times but then I remember that I am a work in progress. I appreciate you taking the time to share this video with us and expand our knowledge on this subject. 🎉

He’s literally my soulmate. He could understand me like no one ever had and we help each other in everything we do. I came to know my personality type only recently and told him about it and got him do the test and knowing our MBTI types finally made sense to us why we function the way we do 🤗

Then, I discovered mbti and we we both took tests. There we have understood our deep and amazing complicity! I have also recently made friends with two other intjs! And both said it was this energy that drew them in. I could say the same as I could understand what they talk about that are damn interesting to me. I love how they INTJs do care a lot but they show it in a more practical way. For me, my intj pals are super! They are the people I can trust the most. Boy, you are on point. Soon to be 40 INFJ here, in a relationship with a 43 yrs INTJ for 10 years now. You are so insightful. This video is amazing. I felt so seen, and it's true, I feel the same with my INTJ, although I sometimes feel unseen from him because I would love so much more feeling-ish reassurances that he actually appreciates me. But he watched this with me and nodded the whole time. So great. Oh, and by the way: my INTJ made a huge difference in my life, made me much more grounded and effective. I made him much softer and open. We fight sometimes, I think I got some Ti fixation, so I want to apply my logic to everything (while still doubting it) so you can imagine the outcome, but we're still here, still standing...

Aaawwww that's so beautiful! Really touched my heart!🥰 I'm an INFJ who's dealing with a lot of emotional overwhelm from all the suffering in the world. And all the craziness. Like, whoever I meet, I will immediately start caring for them. If I meet someone who most people would perceive as annoying/disturbing, I just feel sadness for them instead. It's like I see their history, I see a child who hasn't been shown love, I see trauma, I see fear. It's hard to be truly angry at someone when you always see this bigger picture of ancestral trauma, like it's noone's fault, things just happened and became what they became. The chain of events can be tracked back to the beginning of everything, and then who's to blame? Gosh.... this world😅😅 It's so crazy to live in it. But I've started to pretty seriously prioritize my Fi and give less fricks about stuff. Like, it's actually ok to just think about myself and always put myself first. I don't have to fix everything and help everyone. I can just chill instead, and make space for all the FEELS that come with this life experience....... I'm telling you, what's saving me is metal!😆🤘❤‍🔥 It's so interesting to hear your perspective on the INTJ-INFJ relationship as I also have an older brother who's an INTJ. We're very similar in our life intentions (=making the world a better place) but so very different in our approaches. Hearing you talk makes me understand him better, and then I can better communicate with him and make him understand me better! Thank you!🙏✨

I love that you pointed out that even when we are upset with people, we are nice enough not to hurt people!. My passion is often viewed as angry, mad, mean... no matter how much tact I use (in a case by case scenario), it's viewed harsh or strong. Which makes it even harder to move forward in life because you have to deal with people who, in many cases, are not self-aware at all. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I'd probably do well living in England just based on the fact that people are passionately expressive people. Americans, rather you give them honesty in a "polite" way ALL THE TIME rather than look taking in the content that was shared. Maybe it's just me. 😂 Thanks for the kind words bruh.❤
