you have missed one more important factor... 300k is the number of primary applicants. But the GC number includes dependents as well. So your total year should be at least double in actuality....

A few years ago, I read in some forum that the total Green card number is 1.6 times the primary application count. (This includes some who might abandon the application, and sometimes both husband and wife might filed separate applications). For 2013 as you calculated, if the application count is 25000, we need (25000*1.6= ) 40,000 green cards. That means 40000/4301= 9+ years of wait time to clear 2013.... Sorry it's a hard pill to take, but this is the reality.

It may be lesser than 10 years Could be 4-5 years Why i am saying is lot of people who filed I140 during this period around 2012-2013 downgraded into EB3 and got the greencard and the numbers are not known so couldn’t include in the calculation.. Your PD is good and can expect in 4-5 years but after 2014 PDs are really tough Lets see🤞

Awaiting to file 485 count 308k is 140s count. So with dependent factor 2.2 => 677.6k EB2. So it is 140 years+. Taking EB2 and EB3 together or dropping some as duplicate 140s it could be slightly lesser wait time.

NIW processing/waiting time is same as EB2. One advantage is you can do self petition, no need of employer and perm process. You can save time of perm process. Country location is matters.

Hi Your son can be eligible to sponsor at the age of 21.. so you have 15 more years Definitely 2018 EB date wont reach in 15 years unless some BIG things happened So your son can sponsor thru family based GC

Hi bro For green card purposes they will consider the country of birth not the current citizenship.. So you will come under the india quota and the green card is very very tough on EB2 and EB3 category

About patent, we need to come up with some thought process and file. I did 9 patents that have been approved. When I came to US 24 years back we were told EB1 for people who are scientists and PHD holders. Even though we did MS in US I and my friends waited for 14 years to get the GC because we followed the process. Many are jumping the line and applying in EB1, so Indians themselves are the problems for other Indians. Don’t blame US, because it is not their problem

You got your math wrong bro!!. EB2 and EB3 came till 2015. to my knowledge more than 75% till 2015 jan in this category already got GC or have EAD. That said, the time will be quicker. I am expecting in this september, it goes to 2013. Anything like what we got likein 2021 when there were excess family visas falling into EB category we will be lucky. One positive factor for all in 2015,2016 and 2017. Suppose if Trump comes back, i am sure he wont do anything, and if we escape in his tenure..his policy against family visa may fall into EB category and end of his term, there are some chances...this is purely my guess game..all without any policy changes

Hi bro I will be very happy if my guess goes wrong Yes unused family based will come into employment based but currently all the family based green cards are utilizing well and very few are moving Coming back to EB3 reached 2015 scenario, Not everyone got the green card from EB2 since many many employers were refused to do the downgrade during that time . My calculation is wrong on one factor i didnt consider the dependent visas, i should multiply the pending I140s with 1.5, then the possibility of getting green card will go away further, also i didnt remove the duplicates I140s because uscis didnt provide the data Trump factor : yea we can expect the unexpected things At last bro i will be very very happy if my calculation goes wrong
