Interviewing Michael Shermer, the Atheist that Inspired Me to Leave Religion || Fubilosophy Podcast

Michael Shermer is a well-known American science writer, historian of science, and publisher. But to me, Michael Shermer is a staunch skeptic-atheist who managed to inspire me to finally embrace my non-religiosity. For most of the time I know Him, He’s my hero. But today, He’s my guest

I understand your being nervous. I had a presentation not long ago in which a world-known scholar attended. I stammered during the first half of the presentation. You let Michael talk and asked pointed questions (I might have changed a few but that's ok). Great content at the end of the day!

So lucid, so rational, so cogent and persuasive-Michael Shermer is a true hero of scepticism and rationality.

An atheist is not an activist, a theist is an activist, against all humanity.

If an atheist is also a Marxist or someone who adheres to critical social justice, they are an activist and should be opposed.

What!? You have respect for William Lane Craig!? I'm honestly a bit shocked... I consider him to be within the group of the worst Christian apologists. One Christian apologist who comes to mind as more honest and respectable is Sean McDowell.

lol. You're right. William Lane Craig got nicknamed "Low Bar Bill" for good reason. In his opinion, you should keep lowering your standard in order to believe in a god. smh. I've watched his debate vs Sean Carrol, that was hillarious. If i must choose a good apologist, i'd name Mike Licona or Blake Giunta. Both of them are great in debates, even vs Matt Dillahunty.

Congratulations on your journey out of religion. It is difficult for all of us. Michael isnt one of the four horsemen, Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins , and the late Christopher Hitchens and Daniel Dennett made up the Four Horsemen .

¡Emergencia! Gracias.
