I've been learning Spanish for like 3 or 4 months and I'm surprised that I could keep track about what the whole conversation is more or less about! I'm so proud of myself :')
Oooh I'm so proud of myself i understood all what she said .. i didn't even know this was possible I'm trynna learn spanish and i already speak arabic french and english so just getting what she said before taking any classes is wholesome 🥰

Lindy congratulations only 6 months learning Spanish you are doing great. I am bilingual in Spanish and I am totally surprised how well you speak it. For the past month I have been studying Afrikaans a lot. I hope in six months I will be as good as you are in Spanish.

Ella es muy bonita!!! Tiene un nivel parecido como yo, pero aprendo español por más o menos 2 años, ella solamente 0.5 año. Tengo que aprender más.

@@juliawladysiak Ella tiene experiencia aprendiendo otras idiomas y también habla francés. Todo aprendimos en nuestro propia manera y tiempo. Entonces no te preocupes! Sigue adelante y buena suerte con tus estudios!

Que impresionante! Solo 6 meses aprendiendo español y puede hablar con confianza. Lindi ya tiene experiencia con otros idiomas, pues esto le ayuda probablemente. Su gramática no es perfecta y tiene errores, pero me da esperanzas de mejorar! Muy fantástico entrevista, y yo espero que hagas mas videos cómo está. Muchas gracias a Pablo y Lindi! 🥳🥳🥳

Fun video! Even though I could never successfully learn languages the way she does (I’ve tried before committing to DS), I’ve always found her content and personality enjoyable to watch.
What’s so encouraging about this video is that a lot of us have put in the same if not more time than she has, yet she’s having a legitimate conversation with a native Spanish speaker already

@@LindieBotes Forget about the accents you may have from any other languages: you might just think there is some accents that aren’t there so much anyway. The other thing is that accents are beautiful and it isn’t the important thing which is pronunciation! You are pronouncing very well your Spanish and any accent I noticed was absolutely lovely! Pronunciation is what we all need to work on and forget about what ever accents we might have. I hope this all makes sense! I will look for your channel. Hasta pronto.

Honestly it's just something that happens to most new learners. It's gonna take around 3-4 years but you can mitigate it by trying to think in Spanish.

@@DreamingSpanish I think never getting into the habit of it when learning a new language is the key. I suspect forcing yourself to speak too early may have something to do with it. Also, not translating anything and just letting your brain figure out what that word means eventually might be another way to preventing it.
In questo caso un'intervista in inglese sarebbe stata più utile. Lindie Botes è una risorsa preziosissima.. sviscerare con lei l'argomento language learning, in una lingua dove la padronanza era migliore, sarebbe risultato importante per noi che studiamo. Comunque grazie Pablo per i contenuti che proponi, sempre notevoli.

Puedes esperar siempre poder hablar a un nivel inferior al que entiendes. Cuando puedas entender los vídeos de nivel intermedio seguramente todavía tendrás que mirar bastantes horas de vídeos para poder hablar con fluidez.

Puedes mirar este video "how to start outputting". A practicar como empezar hablar (y escribir) en español cuando entiendes mucho (sobre 90% o más)

Es principiante. Es impresionante que haya aprendido tanto en solo menos de medio año, por supuesto. En el nivel A1, alguien pueda "presentarse a sí mismo y a otros", y "relacionarse de forma elemental siempre que su interlocutor hable despacio y con claridad y esté dispuesto a cooperar", que sí hizo. En la descripción del nivel A2 menciona el pasado, que en el tiempo del video todavía no aprendió. Y se falta vocabulario, que es el problema eternal del estudiante de los idiomas (para mí así).
Elite es una serie española muy popular en Sudáfrica. Especialmente con los gays. 😂😂😂
¿Por qué tantos sudafricanos interesados en idiomas viven en Asia (cfr Light Smith en Japón)?
La unica persona que no es hispanohablante? me acuerdo una chica de china quien dice "hmm...hmm..hmm" tantos veces casi me mori. jejeje
