I love that no one seems to understand anything this person just said, we all just want to know why they need our username and password that shouldn't be given to anyone, yet the like to dislike ratio looks like Plaid's stock. Great.
Interviewer: What is Plaid? CEO: Vague concept, vague concept, vague concept... Interviewer: Thank you... Now I totally understand.

A lot focused on fin tech and banking. But heard nothing about the security of actual user’s accounts. Doesn’t giving your bank user name and password access to a 3rd party essentially waive your FDIC insurance if something goes south?

Imagine there’s a capacitor and there’s a transistor; plaid is like the resistor between the two 😉

This deal was blocked by On November 5, 2020, the United States Department of Justice filed a lawsuit seeking to block the acquisition, arguing that Visa is a monopolist trying to eliminate a competitive threat by purchasing Plaid. Visa said it disagrees with the lawsuit and "intends to defend the transaction vigorously."[29][30] On January 12, 2021, Plaid announced the proposed merger agreement had been officially terminated almost exactly a year after its initial public announcement of the deal.[31]
