I can't get enough of them. Seriously the best tv couple of the year imo. (And that includes their toxicity. I love these doomed relationships). I keep watching all these dams Loustat edits and I die every time, but I love the pain. This couple will forever go down in history as one of my all time favorites and after not getting satisfaction in the books (I haven't read all of them so although I heard they're canon, I haven't seen it), it's thanks to this show that revived my love for them.

Lestat is dealing with so much distortion in his Soul that he does not even realize that Louis loves him as no one ever will. Though Louis did not see it coming, he has been stripped of everything, mostly due to Lestat's presence in his life. All that said, Louis still loves Lestat with everything he is. Claudia's presence gives Louis the stamina to love Lestat so deeply, and Lestat knows it.

I'm watching season 2 and I'm realizing that Louis loved/loves Lestat, he might not have said it but you could see it in his eyes in season 1.

LOUIS, how could you do that to him :( ( Lestat was toxic, yes, but when the video started and he said "Louis, Louis" it made me tear up so much). Also, this is probably the best edit I have seen of the two of them. It is so beautifully haunting.

Louis loves Lestat, and never wanted to kill him, despite his heartache over Lestat's betrayals. He wanted out of his life, but Lestat is an unbalanced romantic, he wouldn't allow his dark prince to leave his life.

Loneliness is his biggest fear above all else, he even told Louis that. Immortality seems like a good idea until you realize you are going to spend it alone. 💔 Lestat has true traumas from being abandoned and that partly explains his behavior. Even his own mother left him and that was too much to him. 😢

I feel sorry for Cludia, because she felt like Louis betrayed her by not letting her burn lestat. But let's be honest Cludia, You even said you share a heart with him, and if yall together for a while, your heartbeat starts to sync. But she still decided to ask Louis to give all his heart back to lestat. Louis even said, I can't, cause I'll loose myself in him. But she still beg him to do it. So what did she expect to happen? There was no way Louis was gonna kill Lestat permanently, it's like him killing himself.

Exactly! That was so well said... I love Claudia, especially this Claudia. But using Louis/and Lestats love for Louis, in that way, was such a cruel thing to do. I'm here for Louis, since day one. All the way back to the books, and me being way too young to have read those books, I've been here for Louis. And in the finale, Claudia using Louis as a pawn to "distract" Lestat was just such a soulless cruel thing to do, to Louis. I couldn't actually stomach it, I cried for Louis, and kept crying for him throughout that whole episode. I think Louis, was the only flaw in Claudias plan, the only variable she just didn't see coming. She just couldn't hope to control, because she simply couldn't predict it. Louis is a wildcard, he literally can't trust himself, when it comes to Lestat so why did Claudia think she could trust him. "I can't do that, I'll get lost in him", "I fell once again, into the well with no bottom" He's been falling down that bottomless well since day one. In Claudia he found a ledge to catch and hold onto, begin to climb back up. But what she asked him to do is 'let go' again, to literally let himself 'fall' again. And he did, and she lost him, just as completely as he lost himself. The truly tragic thing is that, she couldn't've predicted just how unsavable Louis was, because she's literally not capable of understanding it. Their love for one another, how deeply intertwined and bound to one another they are. She can't understand it, because she cant and will never experience it. And you're absolutely right, I have no doubt that if she had really managed to actually kill Lestat, she would've destroyed Louis as well. She would have 100% lost him, which is exactly what still happens in the books. Their relationship and love for eachother just rots, from the inside out because of this. Just, straight pain. For everyone involved.
