Interview with Robert Mruczek - February 23, 2019

This interview was prompted by the discovery of an old MTV interview with Mruczek, wherein he shows off Billy Mitchell's newly accepted Donkey Kong submission of 1.047M. Of course, the tape Robert shows is covered in what we recognize today as signatures of MAME. Billy's only remaining defense has been to accuse rival Dwayne Richard of altering his real tapes, citing email threats and hearsay dating back to 2009. Silly as those accusations were, they are now fully debunked by this discovery. You can read the full breakdown here: www.twingalaxies.com/ersatzca...

Great work @Ersatz Cats PLEASE re-edit the audio for this video and reupload it. I have to turn on Closed Captions to understand Robert and even then about 20% of the interview is inaudible, which is really unfortunate because this is one of the best interviews with Mruczek there is, and contains tons of valuable, historic information that needs to be saved and available for posterity.

Thank you! Yeah, sorry the audio sucks. I'm not sure the original file is much better. This was before I figured out what I was doing with recording phone calls. When I get some time down the road, I might just transcribe it all and do it that way.

nice interview, audio is abit low for robert but w/e. Iv enjoyed listening to robert talk on tipsters interview and yours, interesting story's, unfortunately guys like Billy, Todd and even Walter ultimately killed off any real interest in retro scores for the moment anyway, but of course without them would there been any, probably not so much.

Hi, I re-edited this entire video because the change in volume / quality between you and Robert made it too difficult. If you are interested in it / want it, let me know a way to get that to you. Thanks.

1:18:00 The tapes not being returned might be a lie by Todd. Apollo Legend said in his video that he contacted the department and was tikd all tapes were returned. To be honest though, it was a good lie to make.

No. You have to watch the whole thing, straight through, uninterrupted, or else you will learn nothing.
