My sentiments exactly he's a FAR better "king" than that sociopath Mitchell will *ever* be the guy's completely narcissistic but this dude is a nice guy he's polite and intelligent and he actually is a MAN unlike that disgrace Mitchell. His antics as of late only make him look WORSE. But I wish this dude all the best :)

@@ericross441 I agree, as most surely would, that the kid crying part was bad, but there's no evidence in the movie that he completely "ignored his wife and kid for years". Putting "BEGGING" in caps adds nothing to your argument either- one toddler tantrum is not equivalent to some sort of ongoing abuse! He is obsessive, but that's who he is and his wife always knew that. OCD is a real thing, not a character flaw and fwiw she and Steve are still together. You can tell there is a lot of love in that family. His pupils seemed to appreciate his teaching style as well. All in all, I see very little that is "fucking sad". On the other hand, if you think that competitive gaming is inherently sad then you are liable to judge most everyone in the movie as such.

I just read that Billy Mitchell had his scores reinstated (at least with Guinness, but perhaps not with Twin Galaxies). But who cares? This is what happens with shady practices, like Billy Mitchell's. He ends up spending all his time damage-controlling his reputation. Scores booted out in 2018, and 2 years later reinstated, due to _new eyewitness testimony_ ? All this time later, he manages to get some eyewitnesses supporting his taped game from 14 years ago? Looks fishy. It's too little too late for most people, I think. Steve Wiebe, on the other hand, earned and received the real glory, with his honest, straightforward approach. He showed up to the arcade, faced the fire, and showed just how unscrupulous and pathetic Billy Mitchell is. He got to earn the trust and respect of his peers, and go on to other things in life.

@@ericross441 its a world record attempt right at the very end with hours invested and his kid was old enough to wipe his own arse, sometimes you have to let your kids figure stuff out, not baby them on simple task, how hard is it for a kid to wipe his own arse when hes potty trained? hes got to learn one day...this man achieved some thing most can never relate too and on that note what was one thing you are actually the best in the world at a various time in a public setting with witnesses? he submitted that tape because the record not because he wanted to look like a p.o.s and it just so happened to be that time sadly

Steve is pretty much the definition of a great guy.

Steve Wiebe is the guy Billy Mitchell wishes he could be. Liked by everyone, and a rockstar to gamers, someone who inspired a LOT of people to start playing.

yes a legit player not scared to play in a public setting 1vs1, sad billy sends in tape, 10 minutes later, its legit. when you wont show up and steve sets the record in person at funland, big f.u to billy

when i watched steves score at the end of king of kongs it was like heaven

A rare one I loved was Fantasy. Anyone remember that? Also my other jams were Crystal Castles with the track ball controller, 360 the skateboard game and it had all these bugs in it so you could like jump into these weird dimensions and make a bunch of points and nothing could get you! Another one I also liked that had a track ball was Tempest. And Dragon’s Lair.

Hee hee I used a lot of these tricks back in the day just learned among us local kids. I won a local donkey Kong contest - but wasn’t QUITE as good. lol. Better than Mitchell though - my scores were legit…

I hope Steve knows today that at that event where BM supposedly broke his record that it unequivocally was done on a modded deck! The controller was a long piston,small ball red 8 way joystick! Far different from a 4 way that Steve used. There are clear pictures from that even of the machine ,Todd and BM. He unequivocally never broke your record at anytime or anyplace!

Pretty sure he's always known that everything about Billy is fraudulent, but if I had to guess he's avoiding giving any opportunity to Billy to frivolously sue him, as Billy is constantly doing to other people (and losing).

The current world record as recognized by Guinness is 1,260,700 by Robbie Lakeman that was set on 06/15/2020. That's quite a claim regarding your score of 1,102,800. Where could myself or anyone see the evidence that you achieved that score? I'm asking because, as you know, anyone can make any claim in a post on KZread. You may be telling the truth or ya may be a liar. I've no way to know...here. And let's be honest, Billy Mitchell's legacy has added a lot more skepticism regarding people making claims, that's not your fault but it's the unfortunate part of the Donkey Kong history regarding world record high scores. So, where can one see that high score being achieved that you mentioned?

One dislike on this video.. must be Billy, or one of his phone cronies. LOL Haters gonna hate.

The thing that Billy doesn't get, is that he says the movie made him look like a "Villian" -- but the movie just made Billy look like an immature adult; a lying sociopath and just a general horrible person. Billy likes to deflect a lot of his personal character flaws, antisocial behavior and questionable antics as a "Villian" persona. At the end of the day, he just seems rather pathetic.
