I often watch Leonard's interviews to simply enjoy his humility, kindness and deep, deep wisdom. A man in whose company one would simply shut up and listen.

Well said, Larry. The man is a treasure, and what comes across clearly is that with all that he remains as the lady say, "a normal man". I don't see him that way, but it's revealing that she, living with him day to day, uses those words. You're so right that he is someone we should shut up and listen to. thanks for your note.

At 8:30ff, "The real weapons of mass destruction are the hardened hearts of humanity." Leonard Cohen. I immediately paused this interview and wrote this down in my journal and thought to myself, "In what ways is this true in me?" Profoundly resonating. I so miss the humanity and depth of this man and his humility, not to mention the anticipation of new songs and poetry flowing out of him into our increasingly troubled world.

I am sad that I only discovered this "international treasure" after his passing....at a late life time, during my own physical and spiritual challenges. I am, however, joyous that his work and his persona have blessed me in so many ways, as I reconstruct myself, and open mind and heart to his joy - and his wisdom. Over the last five years, he has more than blessed this octogenarian, and I am profoundly grateful to You Tube and other sources of his body of work that keep him alive, relevant, and available to folks who otherwise might never have known him. Rest in power, blessed Troubadour, in your Tower of Song..

I have a great respect for him!❤🙏

I discovered Leonard Cohen only just before he died and I think he is a magnificent artist and a fascinating man. We are so lucky to live in a time when you can take a deep dive of discovery of any artists body of work on KZread alone, as well as concerts, interviews and their life story. When I was young you had to go on recommendation or perhaps one song on the radio and then you would have to buy the album based upon a song and word of mouth. Discovering Leonard Cohen, to the point of rooting out every little thing I can find online has been like taking a wonderful journey and both making and losing a friend. This is the first interview in which I learned they were partners at the end and I'm very glad to hear he was loved and shared his time with such a talented partner that knew him so well for so many years.

His style and flare have a character all its own, and a sound that swooshes the heart away on a journey into the outer bounds of love. It makes me forget all my thoughts and stress and I can only feel swept away . I had never heard of him before. Now that I've discovered he passed away ... I feel a great loss.

Leonard Cohen was a truly remarkable artist whose humanity, character, and profoundness shone through in his music and lyrics. He had a unique ability to touch people deeply with his introspective and soulful songs that delved into the complexities of life, love, and spirituality. His lyrics were filled with rich imagery, philosophical insights, and a deep sense of empathy and compassion for the human condition. Leonard Cohen was able to connect with people on a deep emotional level, offering solace, wisdom, and comfort to those who were grappling with their own struggles and searching for meaning. Leonard Cohen's humanity, character, and profoundness were evident in every note and lyric he composed, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of listening to his music.

(Mr. Cohen adds that he was ordained as a monk while he was there.) He felt very dislocated.)

such a lovely man and sharp as a knife.that correction al gore made at the end over what leonard said before about dark times captures some of the aspects what this great man was all about.i think it comes down to a point of view and leonard might as well be right.

Leonard always stands his grounds gracefully and makes it known, EXACTLY what his relationship is. Which it is NOT a "love story" and Leonard will not be told that he does have a love story with her. Leonard stammered to get it out, almost like he put on the brakes to keep things on the level! Nevertheless He made his TRUTH quite clear about her! 🐦 That's one of Leonard's strengths during all of his interviews ! I admired this quality in Leonard. 👏 BRAVO! Rest peacefully Leonard🙏
