Wonderful writer who makes complicated subjects understandable. Just finished "The Fifth Risk", a must- read in the current political climate.

I'm genuinely surprised that that more people didn't like this. Super engaging - not a format that can be easily done with just anyone. Host did a nice job too.

Michael Lewis must be a joy to interview; ask him a question and he really takes the time to give you an "in depth" answer.

I knew a man that had been a defensive end at San Francisco. I had an Odyssey of the Mind team he showed his Super Bowl and other championship rings to. He told me that he was the lightest defensive end in the NFL his last year at 272 pounds.

That Astros fan at 47:10 must not be feeling too good right now. XD But anyway, very nice to see a writer I really like get interviewed this long. You can thank C-SPAN for this kind of model. Very refreshing. Not common on cable TV.

My sister-in-law bought and gave me a copy of "The New New Thing" one Christmas and I didn't recognize it until I bought "Moneyball" and "Flash Boys" and I have enjoyed looking for his books ever since. It is interesting that he is married to Tabitha Soren, who worked at MTV and who is a great photographer.

#WilliamPeterson thanks, I've been trying to put some words around something I saw today on TV "Morning Joe". The New New Thing describes entirely the desperation of some in the Republican party. Anyone coming up on the outside for just a few minutes can earn this title, their nonsense. Thanks.

23:02 ~ He loves the word "quixotic". He uses it in every book at least once.

His comment about how they don't look like ball players reminds me of a comment I read in institutional investor magazine, back in the 80s. Some company was telling how they hired "ugly" investment managers as they were cheaper, and would be more loyal. And I thought how stupid that an industry was ignoring so much talent in general in order to deal with only pretty reps.
