I had the chance to speak with Academy Award winning producer and Academy Award nominated director John Madden about his new World War II spy film, Operation Mincemeat.
Madden, veteran of films like Shakespeare in Love, Mrs. Brown, The Debt, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Miss Sloane, made for a compelling interview subject. It was fascinating to hear about his views on the evolution of the industry and the growing difficulty in getting character-driven stories told.
