I can see why people are attracted to Michael Singer. His ideas about self image are interesting. Our identity is formed by what we are able to control and what we are used to day to day. What Singer is talking about is developing a stronger inner awareness, so that significant outside changes cannot damage the inner self. With this greater self awareness comes the capacity to make better quality decisions.

Thank you!! Been working on releasing my blockages. It's been three years the justified anger hurt and so much pain!! I'm amazed I was able to contain so much. Used drugs to numb myself but never realized how much pain I was carrying around. This separation within my mind and my emotions!! Repressed memories of trauma created another personality within myself to protect my inner child. As I forgive and release I feel empathy and compassion for a woman who felt so unworthy of love. Black sheep trying to blend in to receive love but that peg won't go in. Doing it for so long I lost who I am. Today I AM ENOUGH!!Thank you for inspiring me to finally speak out and stand in my truth!! Used to hold on for dear life thru the storms.. Finally learning to dance in the rain!!! Love and light!!!

But it took till 2019 to accidentally discover Michael Singer in the midst of yet another long bout of depression and anxiety. Wanting back the life that was I once had and lost through time, age, children going off to college, divorce, death, etc etc etc. Thank you for reminding me again of the transience of life and attachments to it.

Ooooh I'm on the right track!!! After feeling happy living my seemingly disorganised life I've realised that it's not disorganised at all. I just go with the flow, I'm not regimented, what gets done gets done, what doesn't is there for tomorrow. Thank you for organising and explaining some of my thoughts/feelings. x Very engaging to watch. x The only downside is those with a negative agenda see you as a walkover, accepting of everything, working on that, in the meantime I just say to myself OK, time to move away from the toxicity to somewhere more pleasant, bless them.

Yes, it is a pleasure to watch. I do like her intro which gives the flavour of how the interview is to be. The interviewer never once uses a phrase like "top author," or "bestseller": instead, she gives information (the number of sales), and lets anyone listening who hasn't heard about Mr Singer's books know that they help people, and have helped her as well. (I only heard about Untethered Soul a few days ago.) Love the low-key style: words that flow, and flowing with them, rather than getting distracted by a pitch, and having one's adrenalin stirred up. 🌞 Love it. Thanks

What you define and orientate yourself as originates from deep fear and anxiety, True spiritual realization is understanding that you can transcend fear by understanding that you have the power to look past it. Or as Singer says, you take down the walls and let the light in.

Lisa, it is not life changing, it is illusion disappearing. Wanting requires future, but there is no future, just here and now. One thing many people love to do is to travel; to experience new places, the unexpected, but when we travel through life, we try to avoid the unexpected. Being carefull is the blocking as he said. It holds us back. 'Wishing for' restricts what will come your way , based on the time and level of consciousness when you made the "careful wish". That is equivalent of hitting the break on your car or even throwing it into reverse.

I lost my daughter May 6, 2020. If my world wasn’t already turned upside down due to CV. Everything on the outside of me was not matching the picture I had on the inside of me. In fact I feel like the picture on the inside of me has been wiped clean. The outside will never be the same. And I am feeling so unattached to physical places, people and things. I so want to find the true me. I have the urge to go sit with the yogis in a year long silent meditation. That’s silly to just want to quit my life like that. I am so alone though I am surrounded by many.

@@reenasingh-id9zh I know that I personally struggle with envy and jealousy and I know that is because I compare myself to others. When I no longer do that, I know that I will have made great strides to being free. I was reading the comments and saw one person was 17 and was discovering Mickey's teachings. I immediately felt envy. I wish that I could just be naturally happy for others. Then I read a woman who was 73 and was just discovering Mickey's book and teaching. I thought well at least I am a little younger. That is me comparing constantly and it is extremely painful. I know that this journey we are on is difficult, but I believe that you and I and all others who are looking for peace will find it.

@@reenasingh-id9zh that is great point. I heard a comedian talk about how we have more things to compare with now. He said a scenario where a poor man would only see his house and family and thought he was doing well. Now on KZread you can see much further than your own life. I know I do better when I stay in my own little world. As soon as I go out, I feel bad. I'm not as pretty, well-dressed, nice car, etc. Endless things to compare. I actually have improved with my anxiety, but seem like I have a long way to go. I want to get to the point that Mickey talks about. He reached the point where he is joyful and content. That is beautiful and inspirational. Happy 2021.
