🇺🇸 ~ Way too many on the right wing political side believe government and everybody else is after them. So I am glad he is speaking out. When people have certain ideologies it’s easier to believe everybody’s after them then to understand maybe they are the ones who are not in the right place.b

He was a very cruel parent too, even before Jodi got involved. I agree with the law changes but he needs to be accountable for his lack of parental care as well.

It seems he’s displacing almost all the blame on Jodi, DOPL and the police. In Utah, “the family” has so much more rights ( schooling, pro religion etc) than many Blue States, it seems he perceives himself as 100 victim.

Will he ever grow-up emotionally? He forever uses women as a shield. Learn how to be a good man. At least the man part, please. The children, hopefully, have found good people to help them discover what real love is.

Please don't enable this man's attempts at rehabilitating his public image. All of the abuse he's describing was happening after his wife and Hildebrant told him to move out of the family home, which he agreed to do in an effort to save his relationship with his now ex wife. If he'd made a serious attempt to visit them instead of prioritizing his marriage over them he could have put a stop to it.

However, he admitted CPS attempted to contact him multiple times which he stated he IGNORED apparently upon Jodi Hildebrandt’s recommendations. MOST (99% of ALL parents) would have responded to CPS AND CONTACTED HIS CHILDREN in PERSON IMMEDIATELY, NOT CONTINUE TO STAY AWAY FOR A YEAR!

When you look at the connections between the college he worked for, the boot camp he sent his son to, Hildebrandt, and the way all of this was so terribly handled from the start, it's very apparent that this "faith" has a lot of culpability here that no one is willing to discuss. If you replaced their faith with Islam all of this would be considered sinister infiltration of a society to inflict Sharia law, but these people are being given a free pass because they're white and Christian-adjacent.

Yes, the loopholes in the laws need to be changed at all levels. However, parents have the highest level of responsibility in caring for and protecting their children. Ruby AND Kevin failed their children, equally. The police and DCFS checked on the children more than their own father and I don’t believe his excuses as to why he stayed away. They will forever be traumatized by that decision.

I agree with him. Authorities dropped the ball many many times simply because the family lived in a nice home and had a nice image. He however has no excuse for ignoring dcfs calls. He's just as bad as the agencies that failed. He is their FATHER.... HE FAILED THEM.

Life coaching does not need to be regulated because they are NOT licensed professionals. There is no place for that in professional therapy. People should not confuse it with therapy. Take advice from friends, family or your bartender, but they are not licensed professionals, period!

Jodie didn't have a licence years prior, she had it taken away for breaking patient confidential agreement.

Well, his lawyer and everyone else got him to this since a while AFTER she went away. I'm sure he's learned more since, but he went against his Daughter with his wife, even after she was incarcerated for abusing the H out of All of them .

Him and his wife already had question marks above their heads regarding abusing their children before they even met Jodi so obviously still not taking accountability for his own actions

No matter how manipulative a person, J.H., how can I as a father allow not to see my children for 1 year? This is absolutely incomprehensible.

Also the church that referred Jody. These are very small churches in small community areas. Everybody knows everybody. There is no way that people did not know that Jodi was advocating for and committing abu*e. What her niece said proves that to be true.

Keep going, Kevin, and keep digging deeper while accepting responsibility. Be ruthless with yourself and live your apology to your children. People will rightfully so question your motives and your sincerity. Just keep owning your part. The crimes against your children injured us all.

Are we just skating over the Mormon church having partial blame for not only sanctioning Jodi as a therapist but also *referring* people to her for therapy?

The he government doesn’t need to parent our children, he just feels guilty because he didn’t man up to this woman.

Religion makes people weak.

Child services could not enter the home to protect the children, but you could. Have some personal accountability, and good luck changing the 4th Amendment 😂

What grown man avoids his children for 1 year. Get some balls and don,t listen to crazy people. If you question if something is wrong ask other healthy FAMILY men

He was involved, he lived there too...... He is also guilty.
