Legendary coach of gymnasts - about tournament in Kiev
The first vice-president of the Ukrainian Federation of Gymnastics and the head coach of the national team of Ukraine in rhythmic gymnastics, Irina Derugina shared his impressions from the European Gymnastics championship in Kiev. She noted the importance of competitions for young athletes during the coronavirus pandemic, emphasized a huge interest in the tournament worldwide, analyzed the performance of Ukrainian gymnasts and told about the main tasks of the Ukrainian gymnastics.
From November 26 to November 29, the 36th European Gymnastics Championship was held in Kiev in the Palace of Sports. It was attended by 115 athletes from 23 countries. Ukraine has become the owner of the European Championship for the first time in 16 years. It was possible to organize the competition such as a high level in the current difficult period thanks to the efforts of the team of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine under the leadership of Vadim Guetzight and the Federation of Gymnastics of the country.
