Great interview of a great man.
Really enjoyed this conversation! Let’s hear a round two.
with AEC efficiency at 35% , they are also being pummeled by EO / GL - well said Allison and Matt Good how tooos needed
Hi Matt, have you had any problems with Aprilaire reliability? The smallest model (1830) would be sufficient for my home, apx 3500sqft, but I've read some Amazon reviews (I know, I know) that seemed to indicate they were only lasting 2-3 years. Thank you!
I think that supplemental dehumidification advice also applies to Mid-Atlantic, Pacific NorthWest and other coastal areas where periods of high humidity (and more temperate air temperatures) occur.WRT customer education - I believe most customers have no interest in becoming well-versed in building science, preferring to rely on builders, their sales reps, and contractors to show them all the options available to them - including best industry practice. This is a false expectation. And the reason that I am also a great proponent of much higher (and universally-applied) building codes that mandate those best industry practices.
Just hold the mic in between you and the other guy.
