When art is honest, it's scary.
I love the on screen graphics for name drops and such. Unobtrusive and informative. Great interview, great interviewer. I think he knows how to talk to Devin, very chill over all. Great work guys!
He looks so tired.
He's so damn humble.
Excellent interview, not sure I’ve seen Devin like this before. I get the unnerving & thrilling feeling this album is going to be a monster. One of those life changing seismic shift type albums, at least personally. Gentleman!.....we’re going down the rabbit hole!
Devins the type of guy to stay painfully humble but always release an album that is consistently better than the last, but still keep his last records timeless.
As a drummer, and amateur audio engineer, it is super impressive to write material with 3 drummers. I know he's done 2 before but holy shit.
I've been a Dev fan for years and transcendence blew me away. Not a lot of artists who can continuously surprise me on each album.
Devy is a freak of nature. A true musical genius. It's insane how his music reaches new peaks and boundaries despite the vast number of albums he's released.
Man, he is in a vulnerable state. An obvious sign he poured all of himself into his art. Can't wait to hear this thing.
i love devin, always a good time hearing him speak on things he's passionate about. so hyped for his new album.
I Couldn't wait to hear this album before watching this, now I'm going out of my mind. Devin is a truly underrated genius, and his music has always been leaps and bounds ahead. Empath sounds like it drained him almost completely.
devin is genius and one of a kind , thanks for the interview ma man.
Can't believe I still have to wait 2 months to hear this album. Got it preordered, hopefully I don't go crazy in the next 9 weeks.
"immense amounts of information, and if you aren't focusing on it you're gonna miss it" Most of Devin's music in a nutshell
We love you, Devy!
Here's Devin, under thinking things again :)
This video is a fascinating evolution from a moment where Devin is so frustrated trying to detach psychologically from his production process he looks like he wants to break something to a point where he's ridiculously ecstatic about the idea of working, like a kid gazing under the tree on Christmas Eve.
And it drops the day after my bday. Bet I know what Im buying myself!!!!! It's impossible to tell you Devin what you and your music has meant to me. Epicloud got me through my mom's sudden passing and I've never listened to your songs the same again. I'd hand you the last twenty dollars to my name as a drop in the bucket for all the comfort and solace you've brought me over the years. I may be a poor bast**d but I'd hand it with a smile. Thank you!
been a HUGE fan of devs work since the old SYL days and have loved EVERYTHING he does and puts his hands too, cant wait to get my copy of empath, haven't heard anything from it, but don't need to coz devs a genius in what he does and has worked and works with the best in the industry!!!
