Thanks so much for watching! I have added the questions covered here instead of on the video. Please contact Alvaro directly on Lic. Alvaro Becerra Sánchez Migración y Naturalización alvaro100@yahoo.com Questions for Alvaro: 1. What are the most common immigration options available for Americans and Canadians looking to move to Ajijic? 2. Can you explain the process and requirements for obtaining residency in Mexico? 3. Are there any specific challenges or considerations for retirees or expatriates moving to Ajijic? 4. What are the benefits of obtaining permanent residency versus temporary residency? 5. How long does the immigration process typically take, from application to approval? 6. How does the recent political climate or changes in immigration policy in Mexico affect expatriates seeking residency? 7. Are there any specific documents or certifications that Americans and Canadians need to prepare before applying for residency in Mexico?

Very interesting information and interview. Good breakdown, thanks Rich. If you come down on temporary you can bring a car with you, but if you get permanent, do you need to sell your car ?

Great information. Once you obtain the "Visa Temporal", are you forced to live/stay in Mexico for 180 days each year? Or can you stay 3 months, leave, and then, come back after 6 months and so forth.

There are no time limits either way. I’m told 👍
