Thank you! I never thought I'd need to know any of this, but I am trying to understand surgical reports in order to properly code them. Finally, I understand what the report is saying when it mentions a 5 French Pigtail catheter. I kept trying to code for higher level orders thinking maybe the 5 meant it was being advanced into multiple arteries at the same time. I've been struggling with this chapter for weeks. It took you about 10 seconds to explain that French is just a measurement and the Pigtail is a non-selective cath. I didn't stop there though, oh no! I watched it all, because now I understand sheaths vs caths as well! Thank you for taking the time to record your IR videos using clear, concise wording, visual examples and demonstrations. I appreciate you!

Great video and detailed important information. I'm a Surgical Technologist with very limited endovascular experience mainly due to not understanding wires and catheters for angiograms. Today I had a case and ofcourse I was lost this led me here to your video. Thank you

Enjoyed your video. I have a question about the sheath. When you insert a catheter through a sheath doesn’t the blood still flow through one end of the Catheter and out the other. After all the catheter still has to slide over the wire and that wire has to go through the sheath
