    Love is a complex thing, especially for your family. She really did hate him for leaving her but just because she hated that he left doesn’t mean that she didn’t still love him. As they said love is something that transcends. You have love for those that have wronged you, you have love for those that die, love isn’t quantifiable, it isn’t black or white.

    Cooper could've just stayed at home farming, been there to watch his kids and grandkids, and then died old, but instead he left earth on a suicide mission to save them. With his children resenting him because they think he just abandoned them. Sometimes our parents do seemingly bad things to us for our own good, but the reason they do it comes from the deepest love that exists in the universe.

    @isaiahdaniels5643

    7 жыл бұрын

    joe man Not so much an interpretation, I just thought that the ending was somewhat unsatisfying, especially how the station treated Cooper. Also, there are two loopholes, one being explainable but not directly explained; who created the wormhole in the first place. The second being how Cooper was even able to exit the event horizon. Two blatant Deus Ex Machina moments that were sort of explained as "humans eventually understood wormholes." That doesn't really satisfy me, but I can deal with it and say that this movie is, at least, a great drama reguardless of if the scenarios Coop finds himself in are perfectly outlined or not. Don't be so condescending in the way you talk to people please. If I were in a worse mood I probably would have just told you to "fuck off".

    When you watch the movie again you realize that Cooper says "don't make me leave like this" and "don't let me leave" roughly at the same time on the two sides of the bookshelf. It somehow makes the scene at the beginning even more emotional.

  • @roloug95

    @roloug95

    +Julian George Dude people take RT too literally. If something get 74% it doesn't mean the movie is only 74% good whereas something like Furious 7 is 85% good. It simply means that 74% of the 100+ critics that reviewed the film gave it a positive review. 7 critics could have given the film absolutely raving reviews saying its the best science fiction film of all time and 3 could say it was just okay but too flawed to give a thumbs up and the aggregate score would average out to 70%. It's not a very good system for judging movies. Since the only way anyone can objectively judge a movie is by looking at consensus, imdb is much more accurate because it takes into account hundreds of thousands of reviews and averages out the score each user awarded it.

    After watching Tenet and then this scene again, I was reminded of one of the recurring themes in Tenet by this scene...”You can’t change things in the past that you’ve already seen...what’s happened, HAPPENED”. So once Cooper realized he can’t get his past self to “stay” and that he can’t change things, he started viewing things differently, and this is when he got a clear understanding of how time works in this world. Only then was he able to use this logic and try a different method (Morse Code on the watch using gravity in this 5 dimensional contraption) which ended up working in the end as we know.

    This was by far one of the most powerful scenes I've ever seen in cinema. Him banging on the bookshelf watching him leave his daughter made me cry my ass off not gonna lie, one subtle detail I thought was interesting too was early in the movie when he initially walked out of the room a book fell off the shelf right before he left, and once we realize it was him in literally another dimension was such a mind fuck. Such a brilliant movie and an overall masterpiece.

  • @tomabulash650
    @tomabulash650 Жыл бұрын

    The 'don't make me leave' is like some people say to themselves 'don't smoke that cigarette', 'don't cheat', 'don't eat that delicious cake', 'go for a run'. But we understand that talking won't work, just like he can't yell 'don't make me leave' and it would work. This is basically a metaphor for the communication between the conscious and the subconscious, the subconscious communicates with us by sending urges, the urge to eat, to have sex, to do something we're addicted to, or need like drinking water etc. We try to control the bad urges by talking to ourselves and most times it doesn't work. That's why this scene gets you every time, because you can relate every time you try to stop yourself from going though a bad habit. You see yourself 'though the bookshelf' harming yourself, but the urge is strong and your body doesn't listen. And it's not about trying to change the past, the past actions are there to stay but, if you go though an inner journey you might discover new ways to communicate with your subconscious and change (Morph...) your future.

    The guy is in space, on a mission to look for a habitable planet, cos the earth is on the brink of extinction. as an unknown disease is spreading, that affects the crops, so they come across a planet that looks habitable, but the problem is it is near to black hole named gargantua, long story short 1 hour on this planet is equal to 7 years on earth and on the spaceship from where he went on mission, something goes wrong and a lot of time is wasted almost 20 years. And when they are back on the ship he looks msgs of his son and daughter that are now grown up and about his age.

  • @17gameray19

    @17gameray19

    7 жыл бұрын

    He enters the black hole (gargantua) and within the blackhole there is a tesseract. Which is basically infinite 3 dimensions ontop of eachother. Or the 5th dimension as a 3rd dimensional being would see it. (being able to look at all point of time at once) The tesseract which he is in during this seen was constructed by the 5D being as a way to communicate to the past without disrupting anything. He uses gravity in this scene as gravity is scientifically the only thing that "leaks" or crosses other dimension. Long story short, hes in a realistic time machine trying to send a message to the past without interfering. Hope this helps. I'd suggest watching the movie as its very difficult to just explain parts of it without a backstory. It would be worth your time. Its a masterpiece if you understand whats happening.

    It's rare that a movie can be so complex and thought provoking all while being one of the most emotionally charged movies I've ever seen. Matthew is at his best, the plot line is deep, the music is exceptional- this is quite possibly the closest thing to a perfect movie I'll ever see and yet it doesn't get nearly enough recognition for what it truly is: a masterpiece.
