This is such a big issue in our Ummah and i’m glad Mufti spoke about it and brought it to light. I am a Latina revert and i’ve been rejected trying to get married to my Palestinian best friend who i love very much simply for not being a born-Muslim and being Latin. being a revert is already lonely and isolating itself because i don’t have any Muslim family. remember that our Prophet, peace and blessing of Allāh be upon him, was married to women of different backgrounds, ethnicities, ages. It's probably more of a cultural aspect, I think parents fear the backlash they'd get from our community, phrases like "Have you heard so and so's son married a white woman , I see he feels ashamed to marry someone from his own tribe/country". Another point it would probably mean they might find it difficult to maintain cultural heritage with their grandchildren, or they might not be as comfortable to be with the in-laws family as they would be if it were someone from the same place as they. This quite common in desi , African , and Arab culture. I am no way whatsoever condoning this , I am personally against it but I also see where they're coming from. May Allah guide as all

Me and this sister were interested in marriage but I was rejected because I wasn't Pakistani, actually the father had rejected me without even speaking to me. When the sister told her parents that she had someone in mind, they asked "which part of Pakistan are they from?". Keep in mind we all live in North America. Also, they explained how they aren't comfortable with me being a revert It definitely was a test from Allah because I made sincere intentions for halal and it's not like she wasn't interested. But I'm certain that Allah will provide for me and all the others who have to deal with this spiritual disease.

Muslims adore Allah, Christians adore God but they are the same God. So what's the problem ? I understand why the Catholic Church cannot marry a Muslim to a Christian since marriage for Christians is a sacrament but they do offer a blessing ceremony which is not considered as marriage. Why is it that Muslims including the groom cannot attend for this ceremony? They can get an Islamic marriage OK but why refuse a blessing ceremony for which both Catholic and Muslim relatives can attend ? For the reception there can only be non alcoholic drinks and obviously for the reception there will be other non Muslim guests who can drink alcohol, so can't there be two bars one alcoholic and another non alcoholic? The Muslims can observe their rules by not drinking alcohol but let the rest enjoy their drink🍸🍷🍾

I am a black African Muslim, for me, I can say there's extensive racism among Muslims, especially white Arab Muslims. I am saying this because I experienced it when I wanted to marry a white arab Muslim girl, this thing is really and they don't care that I am Muslim, they refuse to marry that girl because I am black. I will never forget this in my life. I have seen this in my fellow black Muslims when they wanted to marry an arab Muslim girl. Arabs are our fellow Muslims but trust me or not they are very racist to black Muslims. DO YOUR RESEARCH. InshaAllah ALLAH knows
