Interpol has made some of the most danceable music that isn’t meant to be danced to.

Those were prime Interpol years. Interpol, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, and Arctic Monkeys. Of course there were other great bands but if you liked one of these, good chance you liked the others.
Una de tantas rolas que va tocar interpol aquí en México en el Zócalo el 20 de abril 2024 en un concierto gratis. Esperando el gran día 😁

For anyone wondering, this was shot by having the band play the song twice as fast and then slowing the video down so that they're in slow motion yet still playing in tempo with the recording.

@@pn1831 Most of the lyrics seem to come from the word-salad tradition of writing (either that or I’m not understanding the metaphors he’s using) but they wrap it up at the end with something concise and meaningful. And the actual music is just great. However: god damn this singer does not enunciate his lyrics. You need a lyrics sheet. By the way: has it always been the same singer? Because the lyrical enunciation in “Evil” is perfect.

interpol is a band that has left the biggest impact on me and my life. every song from 'turn on the bright lights', and some songs from 'antics' and 'our love to admire' gives me very vivid memories of the darkest period in my life and yet i can look back at those times fondly because of their music. i'm able to see how much i've grown since then and how much my life has changed for the better. paul, daniel, sam, and carlos, thank you for such beautiful and meaningful music..

This song's lyrics are so beautifully crafted, it is hard to discuss. Pain from a ruined relationship, and still the desire to celebrate it. Wow, just wow.
His voice pulses through my soul as the song plays on. Im sorry, but Paul just not only sounds, but also looks so stunning. Interpol is such a great band, if only more people were able to experience their greatness.
