I left some things out about this exchange. I have a tendency to make light of darkness but this was … a misguided person. Seeking to cut others down that by their very presence remind him of how small he feels. Thats not helping anyone. Neither is being decent or tolerable to anyone being indecent and intolerable. That’s not my problem or anyone else’s. I don’t appreciate that he attempted to make it my problem. And in my experience, they’re not gonna stop coming back with that same attitude unless you slap the sh*t out of them. Thoroughly. (Metaphorically speaking 🙃🤠) I’d really prefer it if that wasn’t the way of things in some places, but that hasn’t been my experience. And there are very few, if any, who come back and admit any of that in a new light. Especially not when they’ve been culpable. There can be no interpersonal clarity, wellness promoting cohabitation in any capacity, or integrity without honest empathy and honest accountability. And sometimes… that honest accountability part isn’t very pleasant. But that doesn’t make it any less important. One thing I’ve heard time and again is “man up”. What does that mean, exactly? Harden up inside and out to endure someone else’s bs 24/7? I don’t think so. Again, this is someone who approached & engaged with me. Unprovoked and resisted reconciliation. Repeatedly. Not the other way around. Idk what to do with that in practice. Our stuff on the inside impacts one another. Whether we like it or not. That being said, I might be a bit heavy handed… and I don’t advocate for behaving like this no matter what. I’ll have to keep working on that. That being said… yknow… it can be challenging out there in the world. Especially on the interwebs 🙃 We do what we can and… make adjustments as needed.

I just want to say that The NeverEnding Story is just a fabulous piece of cinema.
