Definitely because all they need to do is get a job and they can extend the work permit Because Canada is very nice if you already are in the country As long as you have stable employment, you can extend your work permit and if you want to stay so badly why don’t you apply for citizenship and if you can’t go back and apply for a new work permit yeah you might need to get back in the white line but if you have a job already in Canada, you don’t need to wait it’s just people want free education From a country that they weren’t born in That’s like me expecting a free house if I move to Dubai because Dubai nationalist get free housing But that would never happen, because I’m a Canadian citizen I was born in Canada. If I move to Dubai I’m never going to be a national it’s because you have to be born there to be a nationalist. Just like you have to be born here in Canada to get free education the fact that they got the little education that they did. Canada has, for decades, been in the top 10 of least racist countries on planet Earth. Plus very prosperous. Now there is a new negative spin that most Canadians do NOT deserve (or to a high degree). People must look at both sides. Since 2020, international students have been flocking to a educational system that many Canadians now feel was used (by many of them) as a loophole-to-immigration. Students utilizing schooling as a back-door (not front-door) ticket to living in Canada. Swarming a 50+ year tradition/system that was not not NOT designed to be about EVERY international student insisting on Permanent Residency ... plus it was not designed to be primarily about students insisting on lengthy work permits (& spouse permits etc.). Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 5 years time) turned into what many are now jokingly calling EDUGRATION. Plus 'edugration' (public or private) was NEVER approved by everyday Canadians. Plus what about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? Canadians want the $ greedy agents in other countries to stop MARKETING & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy (to get). And for any people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're getting greedy too. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 20% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine/home-builders etc.). What about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for over half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling or critiquing a product? Advertising VISITOR visas too (with the goal of snagging work &/or study permits then PR once in Canada). Videos not only posted HOURLY ... but also not in English or French. With very very very little input from actual Canadian-born citizens! Are most international students truly scholars who came to Canada with enough $ to support themselves while STUDYING? Or more-so economic migrants, who BORROWED $ to buy their way closer to the head of the immigration line? To say all the students or their consultants back home have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's education programs to gain western PR or $ is ridiculous. Students have contributed to Canada's housing CRISIS because 97% came-to-stay … not just visit with their temporary STUDY permit. This extreme NEVER existed at schools 5 years ago. What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims? What about Canadian food banks & charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also drastically changing work practices that include working more hours for less money). BC & Ontario are now outlawing the Caste System. Canadians are witnessing these things firsthand more & more often. Even in small towns. Then throw in the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. In recent years, Canadians everyday are having to worry about their automobile being stolen by carjackers (in auto theft rings). For just 1 small example of what Canadians see regarding this, research "arrests in connection with $9.24M Toronto-area auto theft ring". Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful. All are praying it doesn't turn into great anger. Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians where many have been the MOST upset (by all of this). Canadians are aware that some great students are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which is awful. But bottom-line, Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians now see primarily South Asians protesting in Canada, making demands (due to IRCC pumping it's immigration brakes because it REALLY HAS TO)? Yes. If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent asylum seekers crossing into Canada… and especially international students... have raised Canada's population higher than 2.65%. More needing healthcare too effecting waiting times etc etc.. PS: Changes (& deportations) are occurring in 2024, for HUGE reasons. In Canada and other western countries too. Did international students and their families pay into Canadian taxes ALL their lives like domestic students have (so they can pay cheaper tuition fees)? No. Did Canada force internationals to move to Canada as a student? No. Did Canada promise/guarantee PR? Or a job? No & no. Yet do they blame Canada when they can't get PR???🤔

@@Jenny-ii3cd explain the tax you pay as student ? Remember paying for a service is not a tax, of course there is a tax on the service, a 15%max. Do you earn money ? There is a minimum of 35% tax income on that too. How much you paid in taxes last year ? Secondly people started to dislike immigrant since there is too many refugee, and especially since the pro-palestine protesting on campus and trying to force Canada to do more for them. Canadian cant even protest like you do. Plus you dont integrate with Canada ypu bring your country inside Canada. Do you like or dislike white people ? Only a few of you integrates. Do you speak english and/or french ? Would you dight for Canada to get stronger ? If you make a discovery will you keep it for Canada or for your country of origine ? Btw when native canadian study they also pay large amount of fees. Integration is the key. Plus remember your country of origin is part of bricks, economically fighting us. I’m an Indian in Canada and I feel ashamed people doing this , while signing up for courses it is understood that after completion of course the student need to go back , I totally don’t agree with this protest etc , shame on the entire community, most of them don’t even talk English, Punjab is just a province in India , many people think that Punjab is India , the entire purpose of getting a course is obviously to get a PR or citizen , it’s an open truth .

These entitled ‘students’ are an absolute disgrace to all Indians who came into Canada through the legal (and very lengthy) permanent residency process. The fact that they won’t speak to you shows they have a lot to hide.

In 2022, I applied to study Medical Science in Canada from Bangladesh but was rejected despite meeting the qualifications. Meanwhile, around 35-40% of international students were from India, many reportedly with limited English proficiency. It appears Canada’s visa approval process is disproportionately favoring one particular group of international students, raising concerns about fairness and criteria used. Currently, I am studying at Monash University in Australia with a 50% scholarship. Canada needs more equitable evaluation to ensure all qualified students have equal opportunities.

As an international student, I got to do whatever it takes to accumulate points enough to qualify for a PR. Moreover, be grateful to the country that has given me a second life opportunity by immersing in the culture, learning the national languages, etc. These people have no accountability for their actions. Imagine what would happen if I go to India, start speaking Spanish and demand a work permit? Wouldn't survive a day.

I am of Indian origin Canadian who came to Canada on a PR. I an my family pay more than our fair share of taxes and contribute to the economy. These idiots don't represent people like us and I am sorry for the people here to have to witness this circus.

A) if you signed a contract that allowed you here and it expired.... how does that make the country that hosted you Racist? B) if the hosting country is so bad at this then why don't you go home? C) Nobody wants to talk? You're protesting, but only with poster board signs? Must not be any real thoughts or feelings on the issue. Which means: D) Who paid you to waste poster boards, ink, time, while killing the grass?

I’m from PEI.. same thing here, but they at least talk. I spoke to them, they were protesting in front of my store.. they all came here as students on temporary student visa’s, and temporary work permits… somehow they were working more than 40 hrs per week.. and stopped going to classes.. some have been here for 5 years, they out stayed their visas, and now work for cash… I showed them the definition of “temporary” …. They tried to skirt the system, and they lost… so guess what.. ? Time to go back home..the scam didn’t work.

I understand what you’re saying . My gf lives in Oshawa which used to be a predominantly white area.. we went to the lake over the weekend .. I kid you not .. about 90% of the people there were Indians .. I couldn’t believe my eyes . Went to the Walmart later in Oshawa , about 80% of the people in there were Indians .. Alright I learned how this works. Basically some shady no name universities in canada are admitting students from 3rd world countries to come to Canada. One of the biggest appeal of these universities is being able to do part time job while studying and getting PR after 3 years of staying in Canada. For indians, the biggest appeal is the PR. All Indians are trying to leave their country for Canada, USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and some other European countries (notice how all these countries are in the west?) Once you get PR in Canada, you can bring your whole family in Canada - that is what these Indian students are gambling on. They apply to these no name universities for nonsense degrees like hotel management, tourism (let's face it. I don't think Canada is in dire need of hotel managers and tourist guides) so that they can focus on their part time job. They came here with the promise of getting PR. They paid a lot of money for it. The whole family take huge loans, sell off their lands to even make enough money for one year tuition. Why? Because all of these are their investment to get out of India
