The Bing Crosby Cup Great Britain v USA
Bing Crosby and Henry Longhurst introduce the sixth match in this series especially recorded for BBC2. Featuring Tony Jacklin and Henry Cooper v Johnny Miller and Steve Forrest.
With the Americans enjoying a comfortable four matches to one lead, British team captain Sean Connery selects left-hander Henry Cooper to stop the rot against an opponent who has been burning the course up in practice.
Peter Alliss provides the commentary on this four-ball match which is played over nine selected holes of the King's Course at Gleneagles Hotel.

Reminds me of being a young kid watching the golfers at Whitewebbs golf course Enfield. Loads of bizarre check trousers.🤣. Sadly the course is gone and being built on
It's great to see the state of the course before tee to green automatic watering systems were the norm. Pale, almost parched turf which presented a much more testing challenge of the golfers' all round technical ability. Today's green carpets are just set up for target golf.
