Comparing prices/items is not an unreasonable asking. If ID can answer truthfully, and even explain how their higher prices include better quality/service, then it helps home owners to understand what they are in for.

A few people and I just got scammed by an ID recently and it really saddens me that they're the ones that spoils the market, making people have lesser trust in professionals and IDs that really pour their heart and soul in their works.

Great video. Love the part about that 2cm discrepancy. People sometimes forget most of the works in the house like laying pipes, laying tiles, installing false ceilings, are 'handmade' mostly by foreign workers who don't stay in your standard of housing. If you love your 1 of a kind handmade souvenirs, then please also love your 1 of a kind 'handmade' reno works. Or else feel free to do it yourself.

Wait... So if clients aren't supposed to be detailed about their preferences and give you briefs, they are supposed to just buy your packages? So condescending.

Hi, I agree that most ID is a 1 stop solution whereby they will liaise with all contractor and discuss with them based on cliemt design . However not all the client is unreasonable some time ID / contractor do have . Nowadays alot of scam ID / contractor, mostly everyone will have the phobia on this Reno thing , can u guarantee that once client sign agreement no matter whether he/ she make any unreasonable demand , ID coy wont cease down ? ID / contractor won't run away? Etc ? All this no one can guarantee . Just sharing some story whereby cliemt had enagage 1 of the knowned ID not from outside (last time used to work in famous Reno coy and he is the owner of the current company ) and paid FULL PAYMENt (haha u can say this client Abit dumb to make full but however due to is knowed ID client trusted ) since almost 1.5yrs ago and during 2021 HDB had delay key collection / pandemic restrictions / defect checking (after key collection ) / shortage manpower etc . Both parties agree to start after CNY which is March 2022 , however due to some hipcup end up delay (only start with partial electrical work ) and during this few month , client tried to confront ID , carpenter when coming for on site measurement etc but no update (even though ID request client to place order for all the necessary item 1st if require for Installation , and client did it) as of today nothing had been done except painting and initial partial electrical swork. BuT on June or July 2022 ID demand client to pay additional 50% cost (ONLy Carpenter Work - due to material increase) before ID can start work despite client had made entire full payment since before Reno start and quote contract had signed. PreviouslyiD did emphasize to client twice with regards of material increase cost without informing client how much is the % or cost to be or even a breakdown, but client as a goodwill willing to top up some certain amount which can be acceptable and not that high. Unfortunately client didn't expect ID demand of $12k for the inflation without any breakdown given (50% more of the initial. Carpenter work that quoted in the quotation contract). So would like to ask with such scenrio is client demand or ID demand ? And due to inflation client need to liable with all the material cost to ID (with or without paying full payment, not imcur with any changes material / design / additional add on ) ? How about if material cost decrease, would ID / contractor refund the excess ? *All the above mentioned is a real story and seek for advise as well , is not meant to pinpoint anyone here or host *

We engaged him before and he's talking about us doing the 30 pages slides. Very unprofessional, we did so much research on our new home but instead of advising us or helping us to design what we like, his assistant and him completely did not suit our preferences and created a mood board which is not in accordance to what we preferred. We have to keep asking his assistant for get back on the work. Not proactive at all.

Hey Natasha, Eugene here. I'm sorry you felt this way from my comment in the video. Just to clarify, I was not referring to you, but a different group of clients. To put things in context, they gave an extremely detailed set of slides, but later on changed everything to an entirely different theme after we had proposed based on their slides. Kindly do not be mistaken, as with what we had shared with your husband and yourself, we love what you both have shared as it really helps us in planning a design for you both. We sincerely apologize if you felt like our design had not suit your preferences despite our efforts. Regarding us not getting back to you, I believe that I had called to inform you (before any monetary commitments on your end), that due to one of our senior staff contracting covid during CNY it delayed many of our operations and we would be unable to take on your project. Despite conveying that, both you and your husband had mentioned to us that you understood and were willing to wait. Should we have misunderstood, we offer our apology. However, we did not forget about your project. Before taking up any new projects, yours included, we are focusing on finishing up works for all our existing clients. In i.Poise, we take commitment to our clients whose projects are confirmed with us seriously and will not over stretch our manpower at their expense. We seek your kind understanding on this and we will definitely get back to you by the coming 2 weeks should you still be keen on discussions with us.
