Hi! Wish your son a happy and peaceful life. I'm an interior designer, and for color psychology, I would say green induces the peacefulness, just make sure it's not neon green, but pastel kinda green, or the darker de-saturated type of green. Colors of natural scenery works, light blues, or navy blues. Yellow builds a more optimistic vision, if you are thinking of a general color scheme, you can go with complimentary colors like blue and yellow. If you want something even calmer, go for warm grey and pair it with any of the said colors. Avoid red and it's shades as it increases activity in the brain and in the heart. this video mistakes value for saturation. A higher value means the color is darker and a lower value means it's lighter. Blue has a higher value than yellow - in other words, yellow is lighter than blue. A highly saturated color is closest in vibrancy to the colors of the rainbow while less saturated colors are closer to grey.

1:14 - So when this is available to us, why the friggen, heck are we STILL, going with whites and off-whites for everything, with bland, washed out, accent, colours, and everything so damn, boxy, bland and boring today? Why is that? Why is it so, damn, hard to get colour and richness back into our lives? I am SO, fed up and beyond current, modern, design, trends I can't find the words for it. Can it be that most people can't be bothered to go this little, extra step? Whatever it may be, the sooner we move away from the current, mainstream, crap the better. My Colourful Best. Out.
