No we are not Polynesians. we are Austronesians, before called Malayo-Polynesians. Our Ancestors came from Indonesian and East Africa. Later Arabs came.

There are several points about Madagascar that are incorrect in this video, Polynesians were not the first settlers in Madagascar. It was people from Borneo. If you are interested in making a new video with more accurate information, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Oh wow. The "Tanana" and "Tanan" really struck me as it resembles my language. I'm speak malay from Singapore, we say "Tanah"="Land" and "tangan"="hand". The difference is probably in Malagasy Tanana means city, whereas in Malay Tanah means land.
