INTENSE practice between Rafael Nadal & Carlos Alcaraz in 2022 Indian Wells BNP Paribas

Спорт

Greetings!
Welcome to my channel. My name is Jacob.
Today is day 3 in 2022 BNP Paribas Open.
The first training on practice court 1 was Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.
Nadal Perfect In 2022: Nadal has reminded everyone what he is capable of in the early weeks of 2022, clinching trophies at the Melbourne Summer Set, Australian Open and the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presentado por HSBC. The 21-time major champion is 15-0 on the season and has fond memories in Indian Wells, where he triumphed in 2007, 2009 and 2013.
Do you think he will lift the trophy for Indian Wells this year?
Leave your thoughts in the comment.
Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe!

    I've been saying it for a couple of years now, but Alcaraz, in my opinion, will be the next big player out of Spain. I predict he will get to world #1 and win a few majors. Watch out for this kid.

    This video is supposed to be motivational for kids and juniors who are trying to make the top 100, but watching this will just destroy them, because 0.1% of the players would be able to reach this monstrous level. Don't think that all top 100 would play at this intensity and level, no way. I mean in the top 100 you have the "normal" players that are very solid but can loose to a top 150 any day, and you have extraordinary players like Rafa and Alcaraz and of course some others. Anyway, that's insane, even if you are very talented you could do a few rallies like these here and there, but these guys are playing these rallies in every point! Anyway, better to keep silent.

  • @semu8030

    There's a lot of stuff involved there though. The good a player becomes depends on their discipline, how often they practise all shots, their speed, stamina, reflexes... The player's determination is also very important as well as a good diet and good sleep. Everyone can reach this level of quality, but in order to do so, you have to believe you will and go for it non stop.

    Nadal is not the most successful player in GS history by playing defensive. There's a difference between going for every shot and putting yourself into offensive position when possible in a rally. Nadal's ultimate goal has always been to put the opponent in disadvantages position with his shots.

  • @KH-sn2sj

    @KH-sn2sj

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@NLLeFa Who said Nadal was always defensive? I clearly said he rallies a lot more. Also, he does tend to get passive at times. Returning way behind the baseline against even the less powerful servers and his FH can land short, which has hurt him at times against his rivals in Novak & Roger.

  • @NLLeFa

    @NLLeFa

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@KH-sn2sj There is an explanation for all that. He's not a great server, therefore most of the time he has to earn a point in a rally. In my books Nadal has the best first shot after serve, but when that doesn't work, he then becomes more patient with the shot selection. The return position is fine, it allows him to put most of the balls in and deeply too. Look at what Medvedev had to go through after 1st set. Rafa was returning most of his 200+ serves and close to the baseline as well. As for the short balls, that's very rare nowadays. It was more often 5 years ago or 10, but he was compensating with his speed that now is lacking.

  • @KH-sn2sj

    @KH-sn2sj

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@NLLeFa If Rafa is not trying to end the rally within 4-5 shots, he likes to rally. He's not aggressive with his feet enough to cut off angles in the court & to take balls early. When he finds the opportunity to end the rally, he will, but he isn't adamant on it. His balls are not flat enough. He has never been the offensive type. A counterpuncher with hints of aggression at times. I made my point.
