Due to the intense rain, it muffles the sound of thunder early before it reaches, Unless it is a very close one ... Based on the timing between the flash & sound - many of those were approximately 300 meters away ... which is dangerously close. Most of those were negative charges based on the cracking noise rather than being boomy. It is a dangerous sign when you see / hear constant barrages of lightning closeby with loud thunder. Keep yourself always sheltered from those.

A few years ago when we were new to boating we got stuck in a massive thunder storm with lightning striking the lake around us I honestly thought we were gonna die Honestly I wish there were more big storms where I live but in the past few summers they just randomly dissolve

Wow..that was wickedly impressive!!!😱⚡⚡ Can someone explain pls what creates such a high intensity of lightning? It seems a higher humidity and lower cloud base seem to help.

This happened at 6pm on a weekday. I just got back from a College Orientation when it blew in. Ran up and grabbed my gear and there it was. We did have a tornado pass by Tomball High School before the end of the year. It was fun watching everyone panic for nothing lol

Lightning invigorates the human spirit . Without lightning in this world , I would feel that our world is like the taste of stale beer
