Day 2 of training out here in Iten, Kenya. Today we strated the day with a Hilly 8km easy run followed by a tour Iten. After a lovely lunch we attended a 45minute core workout with Elite marathon runners which certainly was challenging. Yours is steadily becoming one of the best running channels out there, and definitely my favourite. You manage to put the experience before your ego, and this sets you apart from other running channels that seem to be too self centred and self promotional. Keep going Ben, great to follow your journey in running.
These is an awesome series, it’s really cool to see what the training camp experience is like and you’re catching so many details. Appreciate you Ben!
Ben, this series is a joy to watch. Can't wait for the next episode. Also, are you allowed to share the whole 45min core workout you did? Maybe for a future vlog?
Ben that music you are playing over this video is excellent!!!
Ben would you consider spending an entire training cycle in Kenya leading into a big race in the future?
Looking forward to hearing about the DOMS on day 3 😂😂 the little smile when describe it as 45 minutes of torture cracked me up
I really enjoy you and your channel. Even though I'm a non elite avg Joe, I'm gaining inspiration from your runs and vlog. Running my first 10k and marathon this year. Really appreciate you taking us along your journey and training Great opportunity to see a little how Kenyian training and what makes them so good. Wishing you great success! What a great opportunity.

This is really cool to see you experience this camp! Looking at your videos from last year, did you ever imagine flying out to Africa for a training session? You know what would be REALLY cool? Seeing you at the olympics! 😉
Pastries are called mandazi
Hi Ben, thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us, would you mind giving more info about your glasses? They look sharp, best :)
Digging the music Ben!
You’re missing the snowy weather in England Ben! 😂
Maybe the core workout was so hard bcos of your pre-core workout snack of champions "BBQ chips" lol. Great to get a taste of what africa looks like.

This is a real practice
Here in South Africa we call those pastry things fat cakes😊
Man can’t tell the difference in taste between beef & lamb 😂😂😂 great vlog mate, interesting stuff.
Hey Ben, thanks for the video and the series. Can you share the exercises you did in the class? Not sure if you actually can.
that breakfast pastry is called Fatira. its common in East Africa. its just a puffed doughnut really. you can have it plain, with honey/icing sugar or stuff it with chicken, vegies.
Any chance you'll run us thru the core exercises in a future vid? Cheers :) Keep up the solid content
lets go Ben
That's a pastry called madazi, made from wheat flour & commonly eaten for breakfast.
"This is apparently coffee". 😄Looks like you might need an Aeropress for your next visit.

We often took good quality instant coffee from home to mountains when mountaineering (before kids...) but Aeropress would be luxury for sure on a training camp like this 👌
Karibu is Swahili for welcome so I'm not sure if that view point is called the welcome viewpoint of if they are just welcoming you to come and see the view point
🔥🔥🔥
Can you film the 100g of sugar they have in every cup of tea just to balance out the low sugar food 😂 great video as usual!

Haha I saw Kipchoge on some video talking about how he drinks several cups of tea each with loads of sugar. So I’m banking on this to make me faster 😂

Those 'pastry things' you referred to are called Mandazi. I can see from the vlogs so far the weather there is just as beautiful as it is here in Nrb. Have a lovely time in Iten! Also the view point is called 'Iten View Point' karibu means welcome haha
