Integrative Oncology: Nutrition During Chemotherapy
Ғылым және технология
A person's nutritional needs may change during cancer treatment and side effects can sometimes add challenges when it comes to eating. Joanna Lipp, Registered Dietitan who specializes in Oncology Nutrition, often leads an in-person program about Nutrition During Chemotherapy, and we're bringing that information to the web.
Watch for Part 2 on this topic, coming soon.

I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in January 21. Did a double mastectomy. Now getting ready to start chemo and radiotherapy in the coming week. I try not to get so caught up in all these ideas that keep swirling around and just left you confused as to what course to take. I just do what I can and remember the future I have. Isaiah 33:24 and 25:8 as well as Psalm 37:9-11, 29.

I have severe SIBO. Barely can eat. Finding that I can eat beef liver and deviled eggs today gave me so much hope. I long for heaven. Isaiah 25 the Lord will prepare a rich feast for those who believe. I’m ready for the best aged wine. Jesus made the best wine in Canaan. I hope to heal and help others who are suffering because I know firsthand what it’s like. God bless you in Jesus name. And God please help you.

It is comforting to know that our times are in GOD's HANDS 🙏 Psalm 31:15. Read the whole chapter for context. Take care ❤

Could you name the fruits and vegetables that have higher fat and protein ingredients?
Are legumes by themselves a source of complete protein or must a grain source be present?

Is milk not a fluid source?
Great
Sounds great let me go buy some Pepsi so that I can pour it on my fruit loops then dip some of that white bread in there too. Oh yea and I got to get rid of my green tea, Astralagus root and my Kalanchoe leafs while I'm at it.

Let me get something straight: Yes you can deprive a tumor by eliminating all carbohydrates and therefore glucose sources from your diet it’s called ketogenic diet. It’s possible to starve a cancer. But Cancer cells can indeed work out a way of using then fatty acids as source of energy. The metabolic state your are then going through is Called a ketoacidosis, this is a vulnerable state because your body is acidic. The reason are the ketonebodies your body produces as the energy source, so a nutritional specialist should guide you and control your parameters If you go through this process.

You need to look up ketoacidosis -- keto diets do not cause this.
👍👍👍
Eating animals raises your risk of getting cancer in the first place. Plant based protein does not have the same effect in the system.

@@aknihtak I’m sorry for your experience. I hope you feel empowered in your journey. Casein (milk protein) is one of the most cancer causing things in a vegetarians diet. Veganism and vegetarianism significantly decrease the risk of getting cancer but other lifestyle factors obviously play a part as well.

@@aknihtak I do not know about you , but when my daughter went vegetarian about 5 years ago age 21, she started o eat more and more bread and sugar . Before that she was fine. But now she put on quite a lot of weight / I was just thinking that bread and sugar they say contribute to cancer also its not proven of course.....May be the trick is to vegetarian people when they diagnosed with cancer is to start to eat animal protein and meat eaters should stop / Of course not to excess for both party's ))
