    For your license, I would suggest adjustertv.com/adjusterpro You'll probably need to do some kind of pre-licensing or pre-exam stuff before you can apply for your license and it might take a little bit of time. Definitely look into getting your feet wet with Xactimate via trainwatermark.com or bit.ly/2SnNFbk

    Hey Henry! Sorry for the late reply, but I think that if you're wanting to get started with auto work, that you'll need a license for sure. I would reach out to Chris Stanley at iapath.com for specifics on state licenses. He's the auto guru!

    It's never been an easy job to get work in, but things are evolving and it's hard to say what the landscape will look like in 2-4 years. Or 10 years. We have to be adaptable - it's always going to be a "people" job.

    @@AdjusterTV I just read an article yesterday, I believe it was on Claimspages or something like that, that a lot of insurance companies are now looking for people without insurance experience, but experience in other areas such as IT/Technology, Freight movement and processes/Logistics, public safety and customer service etc. From my research there are so many areas that a claims adjuster can work other than just P&C or catastrophe. My wife and I have done a lot of work in the inland marine/freight area even though we are just now getting our Adjusters license. Together we have a combined 40+ yrs of freight/trucking experience so we are actually building on that. What are your thoughts?

    You want to have the most possible options for work so no matter where a person lives, I'm going to recommend those first five - and then try to get most all the rest.

    Is it true the Texas license is honored in other states?

  • @AdjusterTV

    @AdjusterTV

    3 жыл бұрын

    No. The way it works is that for states that require a license and as part of getting that license, you need to take an exam.... if you have a Texas license, they will count that as having taken their licensing exam. www.adjustertv.com/posts/adjusterprointerview should give you a better understanding of how licensing works. It's a little bit confusing.

    They are reciprocal but you still have to pay the fee to Texas to be legally licensed in Texas to handle Texas claims it just means you don’t have to take the Texas class all over again

    Yes, to add to what Motorrading Around said: Reciprocity only means that other states recognize the test, fingerprints, etc., that you did for Florida and those are waived when you apply for another state's license.
