Their spokesman has all the charm and grace of a pubic louse. The leaders need to be charged and sentenced to the extreme extent of the law for harming the likes of the woman who had a stroke and was left with severe life-changing damage to her body because they blocked the road.

The worst of this is the fact they blocked an ambulance getting through, so they'll probably block fire and rescue services as well. It could be our relatives dying in these situations and he wonders why we're all angry about these protests.

Protestors irritate me. They get so passionate about their cause that they become blind to all logic. I've also noticed, especially in my home country, most protestors are serial protestors. You see the same people at just about every protest, it doesn't matter what it's about. They don't usually understand their cause, they just want to fight the system over something. I'm all for standing up and promoting positive change - but do it right. Become an expert on the topic. Convince people with logical fact rather than attacking their viewpoint with hostile passion. And for the love of God, stop endangering lives just to get your point across. You're not going to accomplish anything if you continuously piss people off.

Like Liam said in the interview, that isn't how power works. There are environmental experts (ranging from marine biologists to economists) who have a deep understanding of the issues yet their advice is often sidelined in actual policy making, they are even ignored in the media - why is there no thermal physicist on the panel? Furthermore, most journalists reporting on Insulate Britain agree with the underlying sentiment of the cause (they even say so in this video) yet they weren't writing articles before the road-blocks urging ministers (and the public) to create a comprehensive insulation policy. It's also worth noting, Insulate Britain are not the only group with agency in this situation, the government could accept that insulation is important and implement policy inline with Insulate Britain (or some similar compromise) which would end the action.

It’s almost as if Liam has got no idea what he’s talking about. He has been given a script to read out and that’s all he knows, so he repeats it, and repeats it, and repeats it. He isn’t equipped to answer questions that are put to him, so he gets stuck in a cycle he can’t get out of. It’s almost hard to watch.
