    Man, you don't know how you've saved my sanity with this...I have been looking for some way to keep my horribly weedy bricked side yard tamped down for years. I do this once a week now with my electric Worx whacker (at least, the whacker part) and it takes me 10 minutes-vs. the painful hours it used to with a weed knife. Million thanks, Greg!

    I didn't find it weird that he was barefoot when mowing, but when spraying the weed killer? The feet and the palms absorb better than any other part of the skin :S yummy

    I wouldn't allow this geezer anywhere near gardening equipment, he's a liability to himself. As for spraying weed killer and I would hazard a guess it Glyphosate base killer is being used, without a mask and in bare feet!. This has earned him The Darwin Award for survival of the stupid.. DO not use a strimmer (weed whacker US & Aus) or spray chemicals without safety equipment. Glyphosate can build up in the body and is Genotoxic ie: can Damage DNA, this product is carcinogenic..., Use With CARE!

  • @oo0Spyder0oo

    @oo0Spyder0oo

    +Pauline Briggs Grab a forstner bit (for large holes) and drill into the trunk a couple of spots then pour in undiluted weed killer such as roundup. Killed my large trees in 3 weeks. It will soak into the cambium layer and be absorbed throughout the branches as the tree draws water up. Guaranteed.

  • @m.r.c.4140

    +oo0Spyder0oo people are truly lost and hopeless, lawn chemicals are leisure products. people will pay to work out at the gym and then go buy glyphosate so they don't have to work to be stewards of the land. 2,4-D is miscible in water, check your nearest puddle. and btw this guy actually string trimming with bare feet is one thing but spraying for weeds and then walking right over the poison with bare feet. I am amazed..

  • @m.r.c.4140

    @m.r.c.4140

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Pauline Briggs my brain hurt just reading these comments. do you want a 40 ft dead tree intsead of the 40 ft live one? is that better? do you want it to be as ugly as can be until it falls on something you care about? or for the price of a bottle of round-up you could rent a chainsaw and grow a pair and cut your self or neighbors some firewood, even send it down the way for the cost of the saw rental. Cognitive dissonance leads to re-occurring problems, lets not go down that path as a population as if we cant think for ourselves.

    I agree it's dangerous practice to not wear shoes and use toxic weed sprays. There has to be a better method. Also, there are machines that suck (like a vacuum cleaner) garden refuse which can either be disposed of or used in a composting system. Just sweep up the large stuff and finish off with the 'sucker'.
