Instant Pot Wonton Soup

Recipe Here!: pressureluckcooking.com/recipe...
The time has come for me to make one of the singular most greatest soups on this planet and do it my way. And that is going to be one of the most wonderful, comforting, yet light soups one can slurp: Wonton Soup.
This classic Chinese staple is as good as soup gets: a delightfully tasty, yet simple and light broth adorned with wonderful, delicate meat-like pillows knows as wontons. And let's not forget a few stunning greens caressing the wontons as well as some strands of chicken (or pork) floating in the broth and then topped with some crunchy noodles!
You're going to be able to make this either in your Instant Pot or just as simply on the stove. Forget the bland broth and clunky wontons with meat the size of a Skittle. We're talking perfect wontons in a broth so beautiful, it will be one of the most legit, perfect and flavorful wonton soups you've ever enjoyed - rivaling even the best of NYC Chinese restaurants. AND, it's surprisingly easy to make!

Yes food network material if he wanted that. Big attractive personality, sparkle, articulate, shows all of us what commitment to a project can bring. I think his mother and father are understandably proud. I hope he is getting all of his equipment free he is a great Salesman because you get the impression that he really loves these products. I went and bought myself this pressure cooker. My only criticism is of myself sometimes I'm too lazy to cook but I am always inspired to to watch him give us all simple and clear directions on the how to. If only he could give us the super power to snap our fingers and cut onions fast without crying. :)

Hey Richard. I love that line. "I'm a hell of a (w)rapper." As always I'm looking forward to using this recipe. I have all your books. But an always surprised at how many videos I've missed of yours. Thank you for teaching this 66 old woman how to use so many more new spices. When growing up my mother only used salt, pepper, cinnamon and paprika. Her cooking was fabulous. Because her seasonings came from the vegetables she added. I extended my spices. But you have certainly added a great deal of spices and herbs into my cooking. My husband loves the change. My dad? Is also enjoying the change. I'm just running out of room for my spices and back ups of Better Than Bouillon. Lol You came into my life at a perfect time. Covid, and my disability. You've helped me through both. God bless.

Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs kzread.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

This looks delicious. I fold my wontons into a triangle and then pinch the 2 sides together on top. Instead of freezing the other half we fry them up for some fried wontons as an appetizer. 😋

This soup is the second dish I have made since I received my Instant Pot a week ago. Nothing short of spectacular. It's actually the best wonton soup I have ever tasted. Much more labor-intensive than advertised, but that could be due to my lack of cooking experience in general. I substituted ground ginger for squeeze ginger and also I did not find the proper cooking wine, so I used Yaegaki Mirin sweet saki for cooking. I am heating leftovers now. I would suggest that you keep a clean towel handy to frequently wipe the surface you're folding the wontons on. Otherwise, things can get sticky.

Ivan, My son and I make the wontons a day (even a week) in advance. If it's a week or more, we place a sheet of wax paper over the wontons before placing the cover on it to freeze (prevents freezer burn). Do it watching football! LOL

Newer subscriber, this looks great. The wonton soup I have tried in Fort Wayne, In. Has basically consisted of broth and one soggy wonton floater. I recently tried it at a restaurant out of town and fell in love, similar to your recipe, i think. Except they added extra mushrooms and celery to the broth and thinly sliced cabbage instead of spinach. Thanks for a great video.

hey Jeffrey! love your recipe and your enthusiasm to cooking:) tips for your wontons- if you find they break while boiling, add some flour to the water used to seal the wonton wrapper. not so much as a paste but a teaspoon. also adding an egg to the filling keeps it tender. happy cooking!
