You should turn the engine over a couple times after doing the belt to see if everything lines up still

Hello matey, just followed this and few other of your videos, just replaced the engine on my 2003 WRX Wagon, all connected up and seems good, Oil pressure primed but from first start up I'm getting a lot of white smoke on tick over, any ideas, this is my first time doing an engine replacement? Sorry bro not to tell you what to do on your ride, cause IT IS your ride but the torque pattern is wrong. Looking at the cover, the sequence is: top-center, bottom-center, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, top-left. Torque to 4.7 ft-lb. Same for both sides.

I was wondering that, also the bolt seals are quite important too. I even go as far as Oil Separator gaskets and Oil Fill O-Ring when I do it.
