I can go to all my favorite destinations in my county on the back roads at 35 mph to 45 mph posted speed limit. It's what motivated me to get my Rebel in the first place. I just really enjoyed riding around my county at a nice relaxing speed. Unfortunately I learned that there is no speed limit when you are behind a motorcycle. No matter how fast I go the local traffic insists riding so far up my ass that I'm getting a hemorrhoid. I could be traveling 80 mph in a 35 zone and what car is behind me is goingmto be sniffing my tail pipe. Teenagers, grandparents, house wives, country boys, old men all seem compelled to tailgate motorcycles no matter the road conditions. It's really made me regret getting a full size bike. I never had this problem when I was just cruising around on my scooter. People were actually polite when I was riding my scooter. Now with a full size bike they expect me to be the pace car and haul ass everywhere. For goodness sake I wish they would just pass. I just want a relaxing cruise through the countryside.

The HealTech ThunderBox and strategically placed SAE connectors are the most practical upgrades I've made to my motorcycle. The ThunderBox simplifies connecting accessories to the 12V system and automatically powers them off with the ignition, preventing battery drain. Most accessories are wired through the ThunderBox, but I've also included a direct-to-battery waterproof SAE socket for convenience when using a battery maintainer, air pump, or heated gear. Any device without an SAE connector gets one permanently spliced on for seamless integration. I have also ordered a PUIG windshield replacement for my stock windshield which only works up to about 55 mph.

I´ll keep it stock... I remember some of the times I have thought that, but far from all the times..... Making your bike your own is part of the fun, and just wait until you start to really rebuild your bike, that is really fun!

Great video. I like that you walked through putting on the windscreen and gave some in depth info on what comes with it in case anyone else is wondering. I personally don't have nor want a windscreen on my 1100 despite hitting 75 mph on the freeway to and from work regularly xD. I bought my bike used and it came with a Two Brothers exhaust and although it looks and sounds really good, It does take away the ability to have two saddle bags if I ever decided to go touring. So that's a thought for future if you ever want to upgrade the exhaust. I added the tail bag to my amazon list though! Thanks for that.. :D I hope the windscreen helps!

Thanks for the comment! I definitely need to research the right exhaust for my style, I'd eventually love to moto camp with my Rebel so having the ability to put two saddlebags on is definitely a consideration. Thanks!

I have an SCL 500, so same motor. I have a Coffman's exhaust and love it. If you decide to change yours give them a look.

Thank you for the suggestion! So far I'm deciding between the Coffman's and the Vance & Hines. I've heard good things from both :)
