I am so glad that I found your channel. My wife and I will be on the road full time in 2026. I am trying to talk her into getting one of your trucks. She thinks it’s too big. Your videos are helping her to decide. She said she wants a Jeep on the back. I showed her your video with the Jeep. She was impressed. Keep posting videos, they are great.

Hi there! We love visitors! I am only 15 minutes from the Calgary international airport that has many direct flights. Come visit, come drive an RVHauler and check them out. Gregg

Gregg again I really enjoy your videos was wondering when you are finished with the make up of a hauler and it is strictly used as a rv hauler if your insurance is cheaper and classed as a rv hauler or something different?

Hello Kevin, Yes, every RVHauler that leaves my yard is titled as a MOTORHOME - not a truck or commercial truck. The pricing for insurance often ends up being pretty well the same as a one ton pickup. Of course everyone has their own insurance relationships, and sometimes prices can fluctuate a bit. We gain significant benefits from titling as a motorhome. Keep the great questions coming! Gregg

How much of a difference does the “sound damping” really change the sound… my wife is very particular on a quiet ride. Will this really make a significant change???

Hi Jeremy. Personally I found a pretty appreciable difference. I should have used my noise meter and done a comparison, but we just jumped into the upgrade and I didn't think of it until we were already underway. Ggg

I debated on placing this comment on your most recent vid, for you to check, or on this older vid, if you still check back?? Anyhow, is there an option for "body-off" sandblast/powder-coat of the full frame? Also, with Mobile StarLink ramping up, what considerations have/are you for this option? Either mounted on the truck itself, or on the RV, but communicating with the truck while moving on the road? Thanks for all your fantastic vids. It's a great mkting biz model!

Hey Mad Max! Interesting questions thank you. For the cost of a body-off frame restoration ... it would be a better value to just let me order you a new truck exactly to your specifications straight from the factory. The costs associated with the systems removal would be very high. Also, I always challenge my clients when they inquire about frame blasting and commercial re coating. I have done quite a few, but the benefits are questionable. If the frame is going to be exposed, and visible, it is perhaps worth considering. However I point out that the frame is NEVER going to rust through or be compromised in two life-times or more. We are often building beds, and covering the rear frame as well. It isn't at all visible. Sometimes we do things because it makes us feel good. That is allowed! Frame blasting is sometimes one of those "feel good" things even when we know we are completely covering the frame. Or, we can keep those funds, and put them into the fuel tank instead. RE: Starlink. I have been using starlink for 21months now. And travelling with it for the last 8 months. I personally love it. I recommend mounting on the RV - and we can access it from within the cab of the RVHauler. Sometimes we might have to separate the RVHauler from the 5th wheel, and the majority of the times we want it near the living space. The RVHauler might need to be kept in a storage area away from the 5th wheel when we are limited in campground length. Thanks! Gregg

What thickness did you use and would it be possible to use something slightly thicker?

Hi and thanks for the question. I used the 80 mil (2mm) thick product. Kilmat has their product in 50, 80 and 100 mil thickness, so yes, you can make it a bit thicker. Also, I have doubled up the mat in some areas of installation when I really feel like it would help. Gregg

How to add a drom box when you have an APU ?

  • @rvhaulers

Great question. It goes on top of the Drom. We plan the drom height so the APU component is level with the top of the sleeper roof. Ggg
