Installing SITECH QCS oval and Quick Neck to the drysuit

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video shows the whole process of installing the plastic wrist and neck rings from the variety of the modular systems offered by Sitech:
www.sitech.se/products/modular...
The process is identical (or at least very similar) for installing:
1. QCS Oval wrist system
2. SLÄGGÖ Flex Ring wrist system
3. Quick Cuff wrist system
4. Virgo dry glove solution
neck modular systems:
1. Qrust neck system
2. Quick Neck
3. Neck tite
The wrist rings are also required to attach the dry gloves to the dry suit.
IMPORTANT! The installation process requires modification of the drysuit, like cutting the sleeves and cutting the neck opening, By doing so you probably won't be able to get back to the simple seals as before.

Hi , do you think bostik 2402 will work ? Some people in forum saying that contact cement won’t work for neck ring . And seaskin website recommend PVC adhesive

Do you know if the Sitech Quick Cuff and Quick Cuff Oval install into the same diameter sleeve?

Wow incredible job. I wonder if I can do the same to my bare trilam tech dry suit. Has a similar collar.

Dry Suit Projects thank you. I’m going to look into it. I really like my bare trilam tech dry but always nervous of tearing a seal and having to send it in for replacement.

How do i remove the latex seal my suit had before? Just trim it of or do i need to peel it out of the wrist?

  • @DrySuitProjects

It usually better to peel it out. Sometimes, if the sleeves are long and the sleeve openings are narrow, then in order to accommodate the PU ring, you you need to cut a bit from the end of sleeve. So in this case it can save you some time of peeling off the latest seals

At the end of the gluing process, do you use the heat gun to activate the glue and roll it again, or just let it dry after rolling?

This is not the heat activated glue, so no.

This is from the manufacturer site: Mixing instructions: The SC4000 Cement system is comprised of cement and hardener in the ratio of 660 grams of SC4000 Cement to 30 grams of E40 or ER42 Hardener. These two components must be thoroughly mixed (stirred) for at least 2 minutes. The mixed portion should be used within 2 hours.
